Tonight we have the second part of last week's story about PTSD, which should prove to be just as riveting. This is the thread to chat about it.

Remember to play nice / stay on topic - Thanks.

Enjoy

It was a really good episode. Nice work done by everyone. Nice talk between Tony and Ziva about Tali. I really liked the entire show and acting was great, especially done by the actor who played Wescott. Assume job. 7  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

Loved the episode, although it seemed a bit dragged out. I kind of suspected the opera thing had something to do with Tali, especially when Ziva got so defensive about it. The ending was so sweet! And the part with Abby and Wescott was cute. Lab coat lady-lol! Nice public service announcement at the end. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

I totally agree with you, that Pauley and Mark's message at the end was excellent. I work for an agency where we deal with people who are undergoing lots of stress in their lives. PTS is a serious issue; I'm glad that NCIS covered this.

I don't want to spoil anything for others still watching this, so let me say that I'm very excited about next week's episode. I was sitting, watching tonight's NCIS with my family, and we saw the preview for next week. We all screamed in delight when we saw who's going to star next week. It's Alex Kingston, who played River Song on the BBC TV show Doctor Who. Being a Doctor Who fan, I'm very thrilled to see at least an actor from Doctor Who crossing over to NCIS. Kind of like my favorite TV shows joining together (not really, I realize, but you get my drift). Looking forward to it! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I thought tonight's episode was a really nice to tie into Thanksgiving this week, really makes you think of what you are thankful for. I liked how they made the bad guy not so one dimensional, he obviously had issues and had a specific psychology of what he did, even if it was wrong. I also really enjoyed both the car scene and the end with Tony and Ziva - it was another nice moment to find out more about our team without overtaking the entire episode.

Oh, and Doctor-Who, I have one thing to say to you, "Spoilers, Sweetie!" (I'm excited too!!!)

Impressive episode!
- Very good acting by the cast, and also the supporting cast, esp Captain Wescott.
- Liked how the story-line stayed focused on PTSD. And like ncisprobie mentions above, even the bad guy had an untypical angle.
- Loved the Ziva, Tony, Tali-talk scene. And even Gibbs knew about the Opera?! :) Loved the last scene as well. Very poignant, without overdoing.
- Liked Abby's goggles set-up to help Wescott recollect his memories and details. Real 'badass'.. :)
- And Tony in leather jackets and sweatshirts, Ziva's hairstyle is flamboyant, Abby wearing colors, I am loving the S10 wardrobe and styling.

On the other side,
- Missed Vance and Palmer. Not sure if there is a serious twist in the shadows for Vance in the further episodes, or what kind of twist it might be...but I remember Jenny had an appearance in almost all the S3, S4, S5 episodes...so, is it deliberate with Vance?

Was it Puccini's Madam Butterfly the music playing at the end of the program, that Ziva was listening to? Do you find this valuable?

Vance was not in, I believe Rocky Carroll was giving time off to do a play, not sure how many weeks it was for.

Yes, it was. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the aria, but the voice sounded like that of Montserrat Caballé but I could be mistaken.

I missed Palmer. I thought the staring was him in most episodes. They have had other Thanksgiving episodes but this was mentioned that it was a free to come at Gibbs. I liked the small mention that maybe he is going forward a little. So happy USA is having many NCIS marathons this weekend. It is cool to watch because you see the characters, especially once Ziva came to the show. You see them become friends as well as coworkers and that is what we saw last night. So far this is one other their best years. I just hope they stay away from the get Gibbs and work on their week to week stuff. They can bring Wescott back. He added a different feel to Gibbs. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Wrong there mate.
It is Puccini, but it's from the one act opera Gianni Schicchi : "O mio babbino caro" (Lauretta

It was "Un bel di veremo" from Act 2, Part 1, in which Butterfly sings of her longing for the return of her husband, Pinkerton. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

After seeing the post from wasqueball, I went to a site and re-listened to the closing moments of the show. He is quite correct, it is "O mio Babbino caro", not the aria I cited from "Butterfly"; my bad for trusting my memory. "O mio" is famously part of the sound track of the movie "A Room with a View". 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Quite a lot of us confuse those 2 arias. Unfortunately I didn't have time to listen to my Puccini collection to check. Thanks wasqueball for pointing us in the right direction.
