Ryan vs Gibbs

I don't like her character on NCIS. She's too aggressive and I have a VERY hard time seeing her as Gibbs' romantic interest. It just dosen't work!
As a matter of fact, she's MORE aggressive than Gibbs; she overshadows him and usurps his authority.

I love the chemistry between Gibbs and Ryan. He's a "guts" type of guy while she is a "mind" type of woman. They make a perfect pair. In one episode, the rest of the team was looking for the perfect match for Gibbs; Gibbs had already dated her and agreed she was perfect. But, he added "perfect is boring." That's why I think Gibbs and Ryan are an ideal match; they respect each other and play off each other. They are serious together yet playful at times.

I don't think it last for a variety of reasons, both real world and in fictional world. Real world: Not sure JL Curtis will want to keep doing the show. Fictional World: (1) Gibbs is classic tragic hero. As Abby said, he had his "love of his life". (2) Ryan crowds Gibbs and he doesn't fully trust her. (3) I think Gibbs doesn't want to settle down and get married. (4) Ryan isn't really his type. He's old school and wants an old school woman in his personal life. Just my {1}.02

I disagree. At their respective ages, fun and frolic is not the drawing force. Someone you can identify with life's problems and still have a physical relationship (and who you like/love) is most important.

I didn't like Ryan either, I think because JLC is a big actress they shined a lot of light on her, but it just pushed the other characters into the background. As for love interest, gibbs dated and married red heads because of Shannon, Ryan said something that reminded him of Shannon, he keeps looking for the woman he lost in other woman, Ryan would have met the same fate as the other 3 ex-wife's.

Ryan was very annoying, she played every situation like a game, but I'm happy to say that they will not be bringing her back! ;)

"Jamie Lee Curtis is not coming back in the premiere or foreseeable future."

thank god for that :D

Really? I think she fits in perfectly with Gibbs. He needs somebody like her! I think it would work out between them.

I personally think she needs to tone done the aggresiveness..especially in the office she did some major overstepping in bounds in the office and the whole headgames were not attractive to me.

I think that's part of her way of doing her job...Gibbs has his way too.

There was a scene in one episode where Ryan tried to get a rise out of Gibbs in order for him to let go his feelings. I would have liked to have seen more of that. You keep a lid on a pressure cooker too long it's going to pop! it's not good for anyone, especially a guy like Gibbs with all of his emotional baggage, to keep all of it locked away .
