Another thought, at the wedding will Palmer's fiance be a runaway bride?"Interesting thought on the ex 'grand'. I've been thinking that it might be old Harper Dearing, however, if Gibbs knew EJ was the former SecNav's niece, how would he not know who the ex is. That topic might have been broached already anyway? Do you find this valuable? |

Could the son been part of that lot?"Good thought - There was at least one left on board when Team Gibbs left - The one that was knocked out and Ducky's fake blood poured on him - He was blown up with the Russian pirates. I do not think the fate of the rest of them that left the ship before Team Gibbs arrived was mentioned. I am wondering if one of Col Bell's men who died on the "Kelly" was ex-Navy - Most of Bell's men were ex military who were discharged like Werth??? I do not remember if they mentioned the men's past in "Outlaws and Inlaws" 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I am concerned about this thing with Gibbs and Ryan...The show's producers, writers, and actors have done such a great job developing their characters so deeply throughout the entire nine years that it would be a SHAME to blow it now... Gibbs has never come across as a game player with "Hearts, Love, and Loyalty" so why start now? Dr. Ryan has been playing him and baiting him from the moment she showed up. Predictably, his gut should be doing back flips with her game playing, selective info feeding, and psychological digs. I expected Gibbs to kick her butt to the curb after her second appearance. And when she got after him about "marinating in it", I was disappointed he didn't tell her to get out! He is waiting for something and playing the hand he's been given.The Kelly replica, Stratton/Cole's little Mexico ditty and other references recently that have stopping Gibbs in his tracks gives me pause for two notions: Dearing and Col. Bell had a collaboration somewhere in the past while Dearing was also associated (leading) the Phantom 8 from above (a parallel or CIA-like unattached free lance gov agency). Maybe Dearing's son worked for Bell post-armed forces and was one of the mercs killed during the Reynoso arc? Does Dearing have Macy's lost notes? And does he also have a clear view into Vance's 'past' He could be angling to whack both Vance and Gibbs at the same time which would totally upend NCIS - two birds, one bullet? A bit farfetched though on a Saturday morning? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

If Dearing's son was one of any of Bell's henchmen but more so one of the two found floating with the Kelly, then Dearing ought to be mad a Amira too as she was the one who 'done 'em in'. That is probably not known outside of Gibbs' team though? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Harper Dearing must have some serious where-with-all to do anything as he pleases. Who else could drop in to MTAC and scoot before his feed is traced. A former spook too? Several cameras catch him sitting on a park bench in the Navy yard only to see him vanish into thin air. Did he have some inside help? Wouldn't be the first time someone from the inside turned rouge or dirty.

Those details would be known only to Gibbs and to those who investigated the killings at Frank's place. This brings me back to Dr. Ryan. She appears to have access to every little detail of every persons activities any where. I am more convinced that Ryan and Dearing are connected in a really bad way. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Dr. Ryan has a childish drawing of a sail boat that may have been created to tug on Gibb's heart strings and then Dearing delivers an exact replica of the Kelly. If Dr. Ryan is in cahoots with Dearing, I think it's out of duress. When Gibbs stated that he could help her with the problem of her ex and she replied "NO you can't!", I sensed a very real fear of her ex. In addition, her momma bear protectiveness of her son makes me think that Parker is threatened as well. Interesting! I think she is being forced to help Dearing and is doing her best to protect Gibbs at the same time. It is going to turn out badly.

Recalling that Vance is supposedly missing/kidnapped at the end of this ep presumably at the hands of Dearing tweaked the recollection of Vance & Dr Ryan's banter when the latter character was present in the squadroom at her beginning; there seems to be some history between Vance and Ryan. Perhaps that history involves Dearing (I'm thinking he's the ex, but that would mean he has two sons, one deceased and one a teenager?). It would make for a nasty triangle: Vance's knowledge of Ryan & Dearing both personally and professionally and their knowledge of Vance's past? Sometimes you can know too much. Like Abby too?

"Could Dearing be the dad? Or one of the 8?."I think so. Dr Ryan was fairly perturbed at the sight of old Harper in MTAC. That would mean he may have had two sons. As for the 8 - Leader of the Pack. Remember 'The Tell' and one of its plot gimmicks regarding a photo? Who took the picture of the 8? Either a 9th or someone else (in order: Dearing, the old SecNav - or Vance?). I'd be curious to know if any of the Watcher Fleet are similarly equipped with faulty wiring as have the several ships Do you find this valuable? |

I have such issues with Ryan and Gibbs questions her. I also wonder--if the box of goodies--may have info on her too. I agree about the sons...Wow cannot wait for Tuesday but then we have to wait for next season........She came from somewhere to have the position she has. He was suspicious in this episode, again Do you find this valuable? |
