I am wondering why we are seeing Tony's old fiance when we have to find so much out about Abby and Tim and his dad. But, I am sure I will enjoy it. I am counting the hours and
USA is having marathons this weekend and Monday I think.

That was just mean, mean, mean! We are not going to see what happens to Tony and whoever "she is" until the end of the season! Loved the episode though, I cannot wait to see what happens next! 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Only 1 post tonight. Another M Allison Hart, Tony this time. She has not seen him in over 9 years and she tells Ziva how he is. How about how he was and ask Ziva how he is? The episode was fast but not worth getting into this part of his life, I think. 7  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

This one hit the right chord for me. I thought it portrayed a wonderfully believable version of Tony without being over-the-top. And this Gibbs left me feeling upbeat and hopeful. I was surprised how well matched I found Wendy & Tony. I hope to see more of them.
Anyone else think Wendy's condo was the same.one used for the doomed reporter from Obsession?

I thought this episode was funny and original. Gibbs bowing to the "IC" man at the end when the arrested the murder was priceless, along with Vance calling Gibbs cupid. 5  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

i agree Maribeth, i was not impressed by Wendy at all. She seemed hard and cold to me and that 'I am a reporter' was driving me nuts and i wanted to give her a smack after awhile.

But i thought the writers were correct in highlighting the tension between the two. It was obvious the feelings ran deep between the them and when she suddenly called off the engagement nine years ago without giving a reason, (big shock there..i didnt know that), that would have created great scars in Tony's heart and spirt. Poor Tony....you can see how agitated he was that his 'sore spot' was being poked at when he seized Gibb's arm on the stairwell. But i also agree with Ducky's mini-pshycological autopsy, this was a chance for Tony to face the demons of the past and put it behind him.

raise of hands those that think Tony should just make peace with the situation and then just walk away. Wendy was plainly letting her ex know that she would say yes if he asked her out. 10  out of 11 found this valuable. Do you?

i almost swallowed my dinner the wrong way when McGee introuced Spandaxia to gibbs...LOL!

Anyone has any thoughts about the concept of the superhero league? I think its good for a community watch group but i agree with Gibbs concerns that its dangerous.

I liked this episode better than last weeks, even though I wasn't too fond of Wendy (did like the team's reaction to her though). This one seemed a bit more team focused and they didn't get too silly with the super hero thing. Unfortunately, it looks like next week is another Gibbs focused episode. I will raise my feet too!!!! Now I get that is what happened with the engagement, good to know. The guy he was in the Baltimore episode was a really different person..really. The tough banter reminded me of the childish behavior he had with Kate. I thought it was ok until it was all there was. All she was was tough and snarky and she just kept glaring at him. The end of it came early when he kissed her. I could not believe it. His best relationship--I know it was not real--was with Jeanne. He was soft and tender, not always on guard. CJ is just like this. And I say again. Abby is adopted and Tim and his dad. We started this is season as a team and it is now the Tony and Gibbs show. Truth or Consequences is on in the marathon---on USA---that is caring team work. That is the show I miss.

I so love it when Tony is in a relationship. There are obviously still sparks there with his ex. Hopefully he will pursue it or else get into another relationship. I didn't care for the EJ relationship and definitely don't want him to get together with Ziva. I like it when there is a love interest for Gibbs as well but the only I really liked was Colonel Mann. Will something happen when Jamie shows up? And why can't poor Tim find a nice girl and settle down. He's is definitely the type that would. 2  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

I did not notice this because i am watching all the marathons on USA. Thanks for pointing this out. I was drawn to the show because of the comradrie of all the characters, it would be a shame if this is lost!!! :(

"how do you feel about the Tim-Abby dynamic? Thumbs up or down?"
thumbs up 2 nerds but so much in common and they have a real quiet chemistry. I think that could work as it did originally. Gibbs didn't have issues with it. I am really sick of them making Tony lonely this year..seeing kids. They all come into the group and became friends. Ziva used to sit and watch movies at work with Tony. Tim and Tony had supper. I still love the show but it really lost alot last night. The worst--not in character--episode was Recoil--Ziva was so unglued because she almost died--PLease...She was an assassin! This Tony is going off of what the character has been building on for years. Ziva and Tim mostly were seen looking and laughing and smirking at "her" last night. The actors are too good and have worked too hard for this.

Thumbs down! I think Tim deserves someone who loves and respects him. I do not think Abby does. She manipulates him to much, probably because she knows that he cares for her.
Abby last night was to much! Walking around dressed up as a cat. (ok at halloween) I liked how Tim and Ziva did a Tony on Tony, by ease dropping at the conference room door. I also like how Tony and Tim on a (Stakeout) talking and how Ducky spoke with Tony about unfinsihed business. I also liked Tony and Wendy there was something there.

Over all I liked it. I wasn't aware (or had forgotten) that Tony's old love interest would show up this week and I have to say I was much relieved when it turned out that the reporter and Gibbs had not been romantically linked. I'm getting tired of the young(ish) woman, older man scenario. Leroy is hot -- but he's nearing 60. So hurray for that!! And I liked how the writers teased us a bit with that.
I went hot and cold on Wendy and her relationship with Tony. Liked some scenes, cringed at others. We didn't know for quite a while that she had been the one to break it up and for me her snarkiness was understandable until I learned that. (Interactions with exes can be fraught with undercurrents and old resentments.) But once I learned that she had dumped him and that he had been totally committed to her, I didn't understand her at all.
I also thought it was the worst kiss in television history. Awkward to watch. I'd be more comfortable watching wolves attack each other.
Gibbs was funny -- I confess I like when he amuses himself at the expense of his team. Like the very old episode with the dog when he told them to "sit... stay..." and as his walked out "roll over". His self-amused smile cracked me up. I also think it was more than amusement -- trying to get Tony to come to terms with his past as Gibbs just spent the last few years (painfully) doing
Lastly -- bad form for Ziva to swap info with Tony. If someone who had dropped Ziva had waltzed into NCIS Tony would be glaring at him, not becoming buddies. I just wished they had made Ziva a bit more wary on that basis -- not from jealousy but from having Tony's back.
Anyway, now Tony has gotten rid of all his excuses for bad behavior and it will be interesting to see how they present him from now on.
