"and when he was nasty to Abbey and Mc..
and when the Marines came to the door, so no happy ever after there then...
"
Those two snippets were the ones that brought tears - but in Gibbs' case - he had - in an alternative reality become an embittered man
When the Marines came to the door - how can I put it - I had a memory spot touched and became very sad with the thought

I am in the uk and watched it a while back as I download the episodes/watch them on cbs. I think that the episode should have been a 2 parter. Like Hiatus 1 and 2 etc. There could have been alot more made of the Mexico business. for example if he had not shot Hernandez then Laura Macey would proabably still be alive. He wouldn't have met here are Camp Pendelton. Iam sure that Gibbs carries that guilt around with him. The business with Ari as well. Why would have DiNozzo been following Ziva, surely if Ari had not shot Kate then they would not have been following her?? - but would Ari have Still tried to shoot Gibbs ??? would he have succeeded ? then what would Ari have got up to being a rogue Mossad agent?
The more you watch this episode the more scenarios that could have been played out. Too many questions.
But loved it anyway. Mark Harmon being in it alot helped!!!!!!

My Mum is just getting into it now, she has just watched season 1 and 2 and KiIl Ari part 1 and 2. So we have about 6 more seasons to go. I ammmmmmmmmmmmm not complaining though . Unless I watch an epsiode a day my life is not complete........

All I can say is "WOW!!!!! It went down a route not expected, I definitely didn't expect Gibbs' mom to be a central character. Now I know why he goes for redheads. Note to self; MUST DYE HAIR!!!!
It was spooky, surreal and fabulous. Bring on Series 10

badgerbonce slow down------- don't rush out with the red dye yet. Look at his past few and future loves. None have been red , The woman in Dopelganger was blondish, Colonel Mann, was blond/brunette; M Allison Hart was dark brown, The future is ? not spoiling it but (not red head), so he seems to be either going away from the red heads or just isn't bothered anymore!!! so we can all breathe a sigh of relief either way.!! Please excuse if I have missed anyone
Think that MH deserves a EMI for this episode... I cried in 2 places. First when he says that "he shot the SOB but when he came home his girls were still gone" and the other when the marines turned up at the door.......

lisasinden you have named the most tearful moments for me - I was about to post them - they were indeed brilliant. No tears, but admiration for the way they let the other guys in the diner pounce on the fellow with the gun. Do you find this valuable?

I came late to this series. Living abroad, home is the Uk. I like a lot of you feel this should have been a two parter. There has been 2/3 two parter in the various series? I also felt it left me unsure what was happening inthe end. Usually you see the "baddies" being arrested or ready to go to court. What was going to happen to the father and son? "Ok, so tonight Jethro gets a tour of his life guided by various "spirits"...
and its shown on Dicken's 200th birthday!? Anybody?!"
MAN !!! that sounds like PLANNING -
There was something at the back of my mind when I watched it a couple days back - and I thought then - am I counting spirits - but in general - on that occasion I thought of "It's a wonderful Life" a good old film that - but there are overtones of "A Christmas Carol" also - it was a brilliant - the boy in the hoodie - he had so little to say - was he the ghost of Christmas yet to come
