Tony & Ziva are too much like Harm and Mac!

As much as I like NCIS I’m getting a little bored with the relationships between Tony and Ziva. It’s nearly a carbon copy of the relationship between JAG’s Harm and Mac. Ziva and Mac are both incapable of having a relationship with anyone but losers. Tony and Harm won’t commit to anything and can only watch their partners pick one jerk after another. Come on writers, you’re re-writing JAG and calling it NCIS with different players. Please give your female actors a little more credit and stop making them look like losers, or is that the only way you can keep the series going? 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

I agree. I like the banter that they all go on with...good or bad. Nobody can be perfect for or to another person all the time...its not natural to do so. I don't see a carbon copy of Mac and Harm. Tony and Ziva are two totally different people personality wise to Mac and Harm who were more suited to one another in my opinion. I don't see any of NCIS being like Jag. The females in NCIS aren't the losers...the characters to whom they get involved with are the loosers...their loss.I feel that the remark about the writers only being able to write them as losers and thats their only way of keeping the series going is insulting...jmo.. I hope 'Tiva' stay friends only, just sort out their feelings along the way and come to some sort of 'on the fence' relationship until the last episode, if it turns out to be any 'Tiva" ending. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Don’t get me wrong, I still like both shows and watch them both every day. I just think that Mac and Ziva are being portrayed as someone who is ignorant about men and can’t make good decisions. There was one episode in JAG where Harm said to Mac; “The Men You Pick!”. That pretty much says it about both Mac and Ziva.
