"Double-DiNozzo episode! Oh joy..... father and son team up again. What can we expect this episode form father and son? Let's get this chatter started!!!"Tonights show should be very interesting - esp given the news in the real world lately concerning Robert Wagner. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I am not looking forward to this episode. I do not like RW and every time he's on, almost the entire focus of the show is on him and the regulars seemed to be shoved into the background. I wish they had killed off this character, rather than Mike Franks.

I feel Robert Wagner does a good job acting his role no matter what script he is given. I enjoy him being on the show. Its not often, so I always look forward to seeing him. I do agree that Mike Franks demise was a mistake. It should be an interesting episode and I look forward to reading thestoryline and how it unfolds. 8 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |

The episode is on right now and within 3 minutes of it being on I feel this episode should have been moved or bumped to another time especially in light of the current situation that’s going on right now. I didn’t even bother to watch the entertainment news reports because they had more reports. Actually I did see something and I am not even sure what it was about but from what I gather it wasn’t good. I don’t know whose idea was even to let this get produced or even filmed and I think it behooved the Silver haired Fox to have stepped in and suggest that it not be done. Please don’t tell me these people don’t have a say in what gets done. I have heard stories over the years in which cast members from various projects have been able to speak their minds when it comes to certain things. This was the height of irresponsibility. I am really very disappointed in the cast and crew and the programming department at CBS network.

A. it still doesn't matter. Something inside of them should have clicked and said maybe not a good idea...They had to have known when the annivesary was.B&C I am glad that he isn't but there are those who might think and start to throw dirt or mud or cast dispersions. I just really think it could have been better planned out. Unless I am not allowed to express opinions. Most of you know that when I do come here I am usually saying i enjoyed the episode. The whole episdoe felt off and was hitting close to home. 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

"You do know that:I agree. And since no one seems to be discussing the actual episode, I'd like to state that I enjoyed the episode. High points for me? 1. Great Gibbs/Tony moments. Love the father/son, mentor/student, frienship between these two. 2. Gibbs telling Sr. he was letting him stay at his house for Tony, not Sr., and that Tony never wanted his money, just a father. 3. I'm glad that the rest of the team, while nice to Sr., finally seems to understand better that Tony's reservations about his father when he visits have merit, and that Tony didn't just live the charmed life of a spoiled rich kid. 4. Loved Probationary Agent Dorneget 5. Loved that we're getting the bantering brother/frienship between McGee and Tony. I'm sure I'll find much more after further viewings, but I"m a little pressed for time this evening with the holiday coming :) 7 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |

I love EVERY episode that RW is in - it's so much fun seeing how he and Tony interact and add Gibbs to that mix and it's hilarious. My only beef so far this season is why the heck are the letting SO many episode go by since Nature Of The Beast without even mentioning that killer Stratton and the whole "Phantom" story arc??!!!

Insiders blog - SEASON NINE: "SINS OF THE FATHER"http://www.cbs.com/shows/ncis/insiders_blog/77852/ This was the third episode featuring Robert Wagner as Tony DiNozzo, Senior. Once again we had the pleasure of writing it and Arvin Brown directed. From the very first day we worked with “R.J.,” we realized he was the consummate pro. He was “off book” (had memorized his lines) at the read-through and a raconteur on the set, charming cast and crew with stories. But, what we didn’t realize was how punctual he was. Being on time is one thing…but R.J. was at least an hour early every day, and it became a challenge to Mark Harmon and us to beat him to the set. So much so that, one morning, Mark came in really early – spotted R.J.’s car already there, and touched the hood. It was cold. What time did R.J. get in? Finally, on this episode, we all beat him to the set one morning. He was actually late and we were worried. When he finally arrived, he explained what happened. Ironically “NCIS:LA” was shooting nearby, and R.J. saw their equipment and pulled in. He couldn’t find his dressing room, saw a lot of strange crewmembers, and realized he was on the wrong set. We had a good laugh at his expense. While we have always enjoyed exploring the DiNozzo father/son relationship, we especially enjoyed introducing Matt Jones as new probationary agent, Ned Dorneget, in this episode. His youthful exuberance mixed with caution make him playful fodder for Tony and McGee. Expect to see him reappear in the future. I loved this episode, everyone on the team pulled together including Vance. R.J. was really good in this episode too. The Tony and GIbbs scenes were amazing also the Tony and McGee scenes. Loved the team realising what Tony's father is like. Aww there are so many great scenes i will need to watch it a few times to find them all but i was really impressed by the scene when McGee and Ziva went to the country club this felt very old school when McGee was taking a mold of the tyre tracks. We got to see them do other things at a crime scene instead of just taking photos loved that :) So happy with this episode, I was worried because when i read that Tony would be sidelined i automatically thought he would do something unprofessional but I'm happy with the way it played out. The end scene in Gibbs house awwww I really loved that. I liked the new probationary agent, Ned Dorneget and with him reappearing in the future i think it will be good. 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

I absolutely adore the new probationary agent. I mean who dresses up as Leroy Jethro Gibbs for halloween. Really? Moreover, it seems that he doesn't really judge Senior as a murder suspect, being not overly casual nor harsh and a very reassuring presence and doing a very good job. The interaction between the agent and Senior was unlike that of Senior and the team, less of a front, maybe because of just how Dorneget is. The whole interaction at the break room was fantastic (In fact i do think that Tony was being a little harsh to the agent at the break room for a moment, but right after you see that Dorneget doesn't take offense) Oh love how Tony said that Gibbs shot his dad when Gibbs said that he was in autopsy. lol. Guess Gibbs wasn't surprised that no one couldn't contact or locate Tony. Love the look that Gibbs gave the FBI when they were requested to uncuff Senior. Anyone else had the impression that Gibbs wanted Ducky to do a full health report of Senior because he really wanted to know about Senior's health? (for Tony's sake too) I know it was for further testing. But i couldn't help but think that it was they suspect some health problems from all that drinking. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

20. RE: Discuss episode 9.10 Sins of the Father here

The whole plot was fairly simple and solved pretty easily actually, so the focus was really on the father and son relationship and gibbs. I do like how it was solved through Tony's personal knowledge and understanding of Senior (and with a bit of luck.) The point wasn't to show that Tony was the one who solved it or anything like that. The team would probably have solved it after Abby pointed out about the roofies, going to investigating that angle. As mentioned by Tim, the investigation took some time mainly because they were all trying to investigate all the other angles and also because Senior couldn't remember anything. So it was a pretty good closure that it was by Tony's anxious efforts to help his dad, wrestling tiny information from Tim and Abby, that brought a quicker end to the case. It shows to Vance that it wasn't such a bad idea to close an eye to it. Vance was great in this episode.
