For me personally, it all boils down to this: the more guest stars they cram into an hour-long episode, the less we see the main characters, which is why I watch the show in the first place. For people saying "why don't you just watch a different show?": well, this is the show I love, but if they keep cramming in more guest stars and giving the characters I love less screen time, it will almost *be* a different show. I have nothing against guest stars if there's a good reason for them to be there and there aren't so many that they're tripping over each other, but having so many guest stars takes screen time away from the core cast. 1  out of 3 found this valuable. "Bells, one of those 'some' it's me. I've already explained you what I meant (and I didn't change my mind) so please... *sigh*"
They've acknowledged that their differing attitudes towards thigs like Tiva are reflected in the way they play scenes so it wouldn't be that surprising that other attitudes play out in the way scenes are presented.

I have found that when you have a character - who is likeable and they get "sidelined" for a while to allow a Guest Star to have most of the screen - so that the regular member of the cast seems to have to "watch from the wings" - reg'lar upsetting - hate that.
Seeing people have too much to say for themselves in what so many of us see as Abby's Lab, or Dr.Mallard's Mortuary - there should be an element of respect here for these two in particular.
Now for a while I did not like Agent Barrett much - but darn it - she has gone now and I wish she would be back - sometime p-lease..
I think this speaks for itself, that some seem to be attractive characters - even though they irritate one's feelings and you miss them when they go.
I find with too many guest stars - this is not the case - when they go - I fancy like "OK you have done your job - cheques are available from the treasurer's secretary"

"Its not one person who is negative, its seems a group of people and its become a long list of many negative things that fills up all the threads...I find it aggrevating to have to read through all of it. . We are entitiled to say positive things about what we like as well. Times change, seasons are suppose to grow with the characters and move on with different charaters and storylines. Even Gary Glasberg has said this. You can't stay with season 2, 3 and 4 stuff when you are 6 seasons (years) moved on. I feel they have done a wonderful job, I don't nic-pic at trivial things, which in my opinion a lot of fans do. A lot of fans I know are thrilled with each season final as they expect it to be different from all the others. "
I have no problem with growth of the characters. It's the changing the entire history of one, or changing what they stand for in order to "have moments," that bugged me.

I know that we cannot stay with season 2-5 stuff - I was just making an observation that NCIS does not need to cram pack 8 characters into an already packed ensemble to get people to watch the season finale. As I said, there were only a couple in the other ones - and they are the most remembered - why? Because you didn't have 5 storylines going on at once and rushing around, etc.

You have to remember also that something that may be "trivial" to you - such as the way Tony's character was made into a class clown for 2 years, is not trivial to a lot of fans - nor even to MW himself. The "too many guest stars' is also not trivial when most fans want more air time for their regulars - especially Abby, Ducky, and Jimmy.

As for the 'group of people' you are referring to - if you know their posts are going to annoy you because 'they're always complaining,' then skip over them and don't read. That's what I try to do and for the most part, it works for me.

THank you WW49 - I wish I had said that - I am trying to kid myself that I had it in mind to say - but you got there first - but that would be a lie - I could not have put it better - and I see you have named the three favourites of my own - I have returned often to re-read one or two really appealing posts - and this one I am adding to my list - I like the bit about skipping posts you find unpleasant - well it costs nothing and is causes no offence - GREAT

Okay, guys. I think it's time to stop discussing about we can or can't post and what we can or can't complian about, and we get back on-topic!

This is the link for the next episode. It look like McGee's on a ship and he's seasick, but we already know that there'll be an explosion and that Tony and Ziva will be on undercover mission on a ship in Italy too. So what do you think it's going to happen on the show?

I am in a real pickle thinking and rethinking events from the season and what has been heard in the news about what may happen. Killing Kate a few seasons ago was bad enough, then they killed Franks, then it was Gibb's near death experience, now this. Tony and Zeva in the elevator looked fairly harmless to them, yes things fell on them but no direct hit. McGee did take the most direct hit that we seen, and they have been "training" the new geek this season. Vance was headed out last we seen so we don't know if he made it to the door or not. Gibbs of course covered Abbey and considering Gibbs had his near death experience he should be safe. Abbey on the other hand, it has been reported on the news, is looking to leave, because of personel things in her life. According to reports she doesn't want to leave but may have to for her own peace of mind. If they are going to kill Ducky, he would be back when Jimmy talks to the dead and Ducky would lead him the right way. But considering the title Till death do us part, I wonder if Jimmy or his wife die saving Ducky... Just some of my thoughts, because there is a lot in play this season. Do you find this valuable?

"Where is the link to this info about Pauleys personal problems?"
On her Twitter page. She has been tweeting for quite a few months about stalkers and her own problems dealing with one, and has mentioned moving away with her fiance for her own peace of mind. Many fans seem to be behind her on that - will miss Abby but nothing is more important than Pauley's own safety and peace of mind.

Actually, Tony and Ziva could be badly injured, too. If the cable to the elevator breaks, depending on how far the elevator fell, they could both be injured. Or if that part of the building comes down and they're trapped, how much air do they have. Or if they didn't fall all that far, it looks like Tony hit his head, which could be very bad. They kinda left it up in the air for Tony, Abby, and McGee, whose contracts have not been announced.

Yes, Pauley has had problems for years with a stalker ex, something she has shared with her fans who follow her on Twitter. If you read through her Twitter feed, you'll find reference to it. She has shared this information with her fans, partly, I feel, because of the impact the situation has on her role on the show, the fact that if she leaves, then "Abby" leaves too.

I just watched the season finale 'Til Death Do Us Part'. It was incredible but I do have a theory. McGee's 'blow up' scene and Abby's 'blow up' scene looked as if a 'green screen' was used so I doubt they will be gone unless NCIS is so successful it can afford to build another set and as for Ducky, well, don't you think there would be some scuttlebut about him wanting to leave?? Very interesting idea but I do not think that would be acccepted well by the fans of the show - Interesting thought never the less.
