I would actually like Ray and Barrett to come back but if they do the current relationships should end somehow. It just won't work if Ray and Ziva end up married and Tony and Barrett keep doing whatever it is there doing that's annoying Gibbs.
More McGee!! He doesn't get a whole lot of attention.
More consistency with Ziva's character. She's losing her accent (which is understandable and in real life might lose it eventually to) and she's becoming very much less the Mossad agent I loved.
Gibbs and Vance need to make up. No more hostility!
We've met Ziva's, Tony's, and Gibb's parents. We've even met Ducky's mom and Kate's sister. But what about Abby and McGee? Are they only-child orphans?

I would like to see Gibbs take Leyla and Amira in since he owes that much to Franks and the girls living with Gibbs is better than them staying with Leyla's psychopath mother or by themselves in Baja. I would love it if Palmer was the only one on Team Gibbs getting married. It would be perfect if Ziva really ended things with Ray and not marry him or even more. I'd like us to meet Abby's family and for us to meet more of McGee's family besides his sister. I'd love to learn more about Ziva's mom and her sister Tali that she mentioned in Kill Ari 2, like to know more about Tony's mom, maybe see if the rest of Kate's family comes to DC to get closure in regards to her death. Don't want Ray and EJ to come back ever. I want Tony's secret mission with the new SECNAV to end as soon as the season starts since the last time he went on an undercover op it hadn't turned out so well. Maybe even learn more about Jenny and her dad maybe even her mom. Find something out about Gibbs' mom, learning more about Palmer, more about Ducky's dad. Less SECNAV and Vance, more of the team. "Here we go! Season 8 is over (sigh) and it left us with some answers, but with lots of questions too.

Just like last year, now it's time for all of us to write our personal ''wishes list'' to 'Santa' Gary Glasberg and all NCIS scriptwriters :)

What would like to see? Who would you like to see again?
Which crimes? Action? Pesonal stories?
What would you like to see on Season Premiere?
What would you like to be the Season 9 long arc?

Let's start talking and asking... maybe they'll listent to us LOL

NOTES:
- Spoilers Allowed but rumors forbidden.

- Do not bash any characters and/or actor, and respect their privacy.

Here's a thought - if you buy the DVD's from past seasons, especially the first and 2nd season, they have some "behind the scenes" stuff where they talk about the REAL NCIS, and they actually base some of the show's cases off of real cases. Now maybe they are either running out of real cases to use, or the real NCIS just can't tell them about some cases, but it seems to me some of the storylines they are using more recently are becoming "MORE ficticious". One of the reasons why I enjoyed watching from the beginning is the show had a "real" feeling to it. So, maybe they get back to real-style cases. Only no, "Grab your gear, got a dead marine, Rock Creek Park". Enough of that! Do you find this valuable?

Very good idea, surlymoe.
And they wouldn't need to ask real NCIS to tell them about their cases. I've read more than once articles that talked about real NCIS's cases and mostly Leon Carroll, a retired NCIS agent, works for the show as technical advisor.
For example, he wrote the story for ''Out of the Frying Pan'' and it was based on a real NCIS case.

I want to see more of what I feel in love with and what sets this show apart from other crime dramas on tv - the team dynamic. I want to see more team work and less interteam bickering and one upmanship, I want to see solidarity with Vance against the new SecNav if he turns out to be adversarial. I want to leave the soap opera to daytime tv, but I don't mind a little UST between team members, I want occassional guest stars, not recurring characters that take screen time from our team, I want more McGee, Jimmy and Ducky. I hope the person who gets a new love interest this season is Ducky - he deserves a little action and alot more screen time. I don't really care for origin episodes - I am more interested in the here and now. I don't care to see a rehash of the mole drama or the Eli drama. I would like to see character consistency and not character assassinations from one week to the next, I would like to see good solid cases files, not filler. I would like to see more of what we saw in S3-5 and less of what we saw in S6-8. Do you find this valuable?

*Cross over with NCIS:LA. i would love for Tony and Hetty to meet. but that would require Tony in LA. but i really want the cross over ep to happen in Washington with Gibbs and Callen drinking bourbon in his basement. And Deeks getting on the wrong side of Gibbs, that would be funny.

* More McGee. we hardly got any of him in Season 8. Im wondering why Sean signed back on in the first place??? a centric Mcgee story line would be great. Maybe meeting his parents?? Not sure about having Sarah back, as Torian is now on Pretty Little Liars.

* Dianne and Emily. when Fornell and Gibbs were in Gibbs basement talking about Dianne's wedding and not going there was talk of both Dianne and Emily. Now Mark Harmon on one of the DVD's extra stuff has said that he has to go and ask the writters if that is what they mean when they write the script as it seems a bit odd to him. and as we all know when we first meant Vance he gave Gibbs money for the danish and in the flash back ep with Vance we found out why. So yeah some Dianne and Emily.

* Still with Dianne, she could be a lawayer for a suspect and comes up against Gibbs. Tony would have a feild day!

* A future ep.. i know this would never happen. BUT. An ep where we see into the future is none of them joined NCIS. eg If Shannon and Kelly never died. when woudl the Gibbs family be like etc. hehe Pam Dawber could play Shannon. BUT I KNOW IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN.

* Ziva - i want Somolia answered.

*TIVA!

I agree with all the things you want to see next year. I'd like to see some of the old Ziva. One of my favorite scenes is where she is talking to Gibbs on the phone when she hears the bad guys. So she tells Gibbs to hold on, points a gun at each of the doors, and blasts the evildoers to bits - then picks up the phone again. I laughed myself silly. Loved it. Abby, too, has goten a listtle lost. Paulie Perrette is so perfect and adds so much to the show - let's get her up and running again. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Re: Abby. Thinking back over the past year it seems after Pauley was lauded with the top 'Q' acknowledgement and became a more popular series figure in the intertainment media/world, her focus an treatment on the show changed. Perhaps the TPTB were a little envious of our delightful, gothly co-star's following? "It's not my fault, Gibbs...it's not my fault"

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I abhorred that scene. While Ziva was made out to be wonder woman, Tony cowered in the bathroom with the witness. But I love Tony, and it was one of those (numerous) moments where they wrote Ziva as a cartoon caricature super hero at Tony's expense. I really thought it was a "jump the shark" moment. I would like to see more consistency in the Ziva character, but not at anyone else's expense.

I think you're the exception, not the rule. I loved that scene also. Tony was not cowering in the bathroom, he was backup in case they got past Ziva. Ziva is supposed to be the muscle of the team, even Gibbs said she was a weapon herself. Why is it when women are portrayed as strong it's cartoonish, but when it's a man, they're heroic (like Rambo)?

Never watched Rambo, because it looks ridiculous. I'm over 12 and don't enjoy super cartoon greatness super hero stories. The two gun slinging scene was nothing but a super Ziva moment at Tony's expense, IMO. They've sacrificed Tony's competence a lot over the last couple years, at the super Ziva alter. But that scene to me, was the worst.

Unfortunately for the show, she's not the exception. From what I've read here and on other sites, lots of people didn't like that scene.
That was a not good scene for Ziva (let Tony out for a moment). They portrayed her as an unbelievable superhero of those comix 70's-80's TvShows.
I've always thought that NCIS should be a bit related to reality and that scene was completely not-real. No police officer/agent would do such a thing.

NCIS is not ''Superman'', ''Wonder Woman'', ''The Six Million Dollars Man'' or ''The Bionic Woman''. It's a drama/crime show based on a real US federal agency and its agents.

I know that NCIS is a TvShow so it's fiction, but it's based on reality and not on comics or fantasy tales.

This is a thing that I don't want to see in S9: the total lack of credibility of certain scenes.
Get back to the origins! Get back to DPB's show! Please!

Seeing that scene again recently and Kevin Costner's similar scene (basis of?) in Silverado does make for a bit of campiness in our favorite tv drama. Oh well. I don't know which was more believable, that scene or Ziva telling their protectee that he is a good looking guy while standing in the kitchen.

This is a big issue for me-- I appreciate and expect credibility from the show, and I think veering from that would spell the show's demise. One reason the show CSI started losing favor with me was b/c it started getting bizarre and far out. I haven't watched that show in 2 years. I'd hate to see that happen with NCIS.
