"I don't think its Frank's .45, and I'm guessing it has 2-4 more bullets left in the gun. I think it is Cobbs' gun pressed against her neck."It was mentioned in autopsy that Franks kept 8 bullets in the gun , Gibbs said he heard 5 shots. So assuming that its three left..however the other team was shot at least three times (if not more) so if it is Franks gun and that gun was used on the B team , it would be empty. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. In regards to the box of Deckers insurance policy, my gut feeling is that since the theme of the show was that "the swan sings when it knows it is going to die" , Franks new he was going to die soon, and brought it to give to Gibbs since Gibbs probably wouldn't get it any other way and Franks wanted him to have it to keep him on Vance's good side. I don't think it is connected to the P2P arc, but hey I could be completely off on this, I guess we'll find out! Also, does anyone have a thought as to the significance of Gibbs finding a bullet in the file he was reading in the basement while Franks was outside getting killed? It seems important, but I can't figure out why. At first I thought maybe it was a bullet from the La Grenuille (spelling?) murder, but I figured that was wrong because it would be completely out of place in this plot. Any ideas? I loved this episode. Sad about Mike Franks, but I think he was dying anyway and wanted to go suicide by perp (I wouldn't be surprised if he had a life insurance policy with his granddaughter as benificiary). I don't think EJ's dead, but she still won't be staying in DC-her team was only there to solve the case. I can't believe they fell for the witness ruse. To me, it was obviously a set up. Loved the group hug. Much more interested in this year's season finale than last years. Of course, the Ziva haters on the CBS site are already complaining about the finale. Some people didn't get why Ziva was so upset about Mike, but I have a feeling she might finally be reacting to what happened in Somalia (PTSD) and Mike's death was the catalyst (she never did seem to have the emotional reaction she should have and I don't think be abducted is going to help).

"Your forgetting the round in the chamber."Assuming Franks uses a standard issue (1911) Colt .45 and magazine, the count would be 7 in + 1 uptop? 5 in the street + 3 at the lair would make eight 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"GoNCIs (my bad for editing the post): the box was 'Decker's insurance policy'. Seems it must have been the Frankenstein project. If so then it is a just another batch of files ala Lodestone ala Jason Bourne and all of his files.. Hopefully not as I recall a bullet rolled out of one of the files before Gibbs heard Franks gunfire. Perhaps anothe loose thread?"I thought it was the whole thing about Riley and that account... Lol. I for one think next weeks ep. looks great, no matter who it centers on, as long as it's not EJ or her team or Vance! I just hope they don't kill a main team member, that would not be good. I think it's funny some people are upset that the show was a sad one. People understand that the writers/producers are purposely trying to induce these emotions in their storyline. Probably the saddest moment was the 4 "Gibblets" in the elevator hugging, but that, to me at least, is what makes this show so unique and so powerful. No other show insights so much emotion from not only the characters, but the audience as well. Bellesario and his desciples at their best!Whether you like Tiva or Tony/EJ or not, the writers/producers want you to care about them (whether that means like or hate it). I personally like Tony and Ziva, especially how Tony handles Ziva in true times of crisis (in the elevator). I also believe we are not made to really want to like EJ and her team, so if they do get killed, the audience is not devastated. We did, however, love Mike Franks, thus the rain, and the drearyness of the episode. But I believe the writers let you down as easily as possible by showing he was already sick/dying with something unknown (you'll probably find out in an autopsy he was dying of lung cancer or something). Franks going out his way is the best way for him to go out. This episode was great. It didn't have very many funny parts like we are used to (except Franks saying the part about memories of naked women, i almost spit out my beer when he said that i was laughing so hard). But it delivered on drama and tragedy big time. Now we all want to know where the show goes from here. Personally, I think there is a whole lot more going on here than just a killer. I think with the next episode credits showing 2 SecNavs, something big is about to happen. Way to go NCIS shaking things up and keeping us on the edge of our seats! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I think it may be Ziva that they kill off - 2 year contract extension or no. At the beginning of swan song - did you notice that Ziva was the one member of the team we did not see - we saw everyone (including Palmer) but not Ziva. I think TPTB are foreshadowing her death.

"Assuming Franks uses a standard issue (1911) Colt .45 and magazine, the count would be 7 in + 1 uptop? 5 in the street + 3 at the lair would make eight"Gibbs says in autopsy when they are talking about the number of shots that Franks "kept 8 in the mag and one in the chamber" for a total of 9. "Gibbs says in autopsy when they are talking about the number of shots that Franks "kept 8 in the mag and one in the chamber" for a total of 9. So 1 bullet unaccounted for."Good catch KL. If so, that would mean that Franks uses an optional clip for his .45 unless the info is just plot chatter. Unless that single round in the folder was #8, then it's possible that Cobb might have one left for EJ unless he fired 4 at the other NCIS agents. I'm thinking that the MO of the P2P is to cut not cap so he might not shoot her after all. She might still get a shot off herself unless Cobb has that angle/grip covered. Do you find this valuable? |

Thank you all for clarifying about Decker's insurance policy.. :)Reg the bullet in the file, how about this - MF knew he was going to go out for one last fight. He probably left the bullet for Gibbs, to use it on the P2P killer to avenge for his own death! I know, a little too dramatic, but what the heck! :) I don't think Ziva will be killed, or anyone (who matters) else either in Pyramid. And Ziva haters should relax as well. I have a feeling the episode is absolutely not going to be heavily Ziva-centric. Gibbs, and Tony perhaps, but it is definitely going be a heavy plot. Although, a step towards TIVA wd be awesome (oh yes, I am a TIVA fan...)!! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Brilliant episode. Loved seeing the two teams actually pulling together and confirming, as I see it anyhow, that it's Vance bringing EJ in on the case that bugs Gibbs more than anything to do with her actual agent skills. More on that, I'm sure next episode.P2P now has a name and a back story that did smack a little too much like an evil "Jason Bourne", but that's OK . One great scene that stood out among a wealth of others, in particular, the lift scene, when the four of them all comforted each other after Mikes' death. (R.I.P Mike) MUST rank as the single most effective way of showing just how much these people feel about each other, than in ANY episode EVER, just brilliant in its simplicity and execution. 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
