I agree this is NCIS stick with what brought you to the # 1 spot in the ratings. If Vance is staying do a positive story about him current day not history from his early spy days. HOORAH 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I liked this episode. This is one of the few times (in NCIS recent history) that I don't understand the culprit before the end of the episode. Very strong story indeed!MW, MH and CM (the kid) in interrogation were amazing and the best part of the episode. I really loved bad cop-Tony and good cop-Gibbs. And it was also great how they frame up the kid in the second interrogation, when Tony started talking about the (wrong) movie and Gibbs followed him. Finally Vance acknowledge Tony competence and he treated him almost as his equal. Better late than never! ''Loverboy" and ''Skippy'' LOL This is what I want between Tony and Gibbs: funny teasings and great job together! McSnoopy was funny and I think he's becoming a bit Tony. As Tony snooped at Ziva's desk during Rivkin mess because he was worried about his colleague and didn't trust him, now Tim snoops at EJ's desk because he doesn't trust her and he wants to protect his colleague/friend. This is the realtionship that I like between them. JMO I didn't like the ax scene even though it was better than I thought after the promo. And even though it was effective, it was too much and unbelievable. BTW Vance needs a really good therapist because he's really losing control. Luckily we've Gibbs that confronts him and tries to make him think about his actions. I think they're planning a Vance's huge meltdown. Leon Carroll should give NCIS writers more stories, after all he was a real NCIS agent! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I really enjoyed this episode. I just thought the performances by MW, MH, RC, and the young actor were outstanding. I liked that the episode had a dark and foreboding feel to it, and the subtle humor that was present. Loved it.

"Right,he is (losing it) and Ziva isn't after 4 months of torture. We (NL, europe) call someone like that a stresschicken. Vance still has a double agenda. Maybe he is looking for another job because SecNav is breathing down his neck and he can't handle it. "How very interesting, Nemisses! Do you find this valuable? |

"Some reviews of this episode:Thanks for the links - very interesting articles. Seems they all liked the same things - the interrogation scenes between Tony and Gibbs and the kid and the fact that Tony and Gibbs were actually together a lot in this episode and seeming like their old selves. Seems their interaction has been missed by more than a few NCIS fans. Also, everyone seemed to enjoy Abby's little, "Hi, honey, welcome home," comment to McGee. I loved that scene myself. And finally - that Vance and Gibbs are heading for a very stormy future if these past few episodes have been clues. I wonder why they made them so chummy in EF and ED (which was weird to me) if they were going to have them become adversarial and untrusting of each other once again. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Seems their interaction has been missed by more than a few NCIS fans. You're welcome. I've noticed that too. Fans and journalists like the same thing in NCIS and I think TPTB finally started to listen to all of us. I've the same problem with Gibbs and Vance, and why, when Tony said ''You'd be made a great director, boss'' in ''OLS'', Gibbs looked up at Vance and said something like ''We already have one''? I think they do not really like and trust each other but at the same time they know that the other one is a brave and a very capable man, and since they *have* to work together and they're trying to make this realtionship work. But why I keep thinking that Vance has a hidden agenda and he's ready to throw anyone under the bus to archieve his goals? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

There have been times in the past when you think you may have turned a corner with regards Vance and you think maybe it's OK to start liking him? But, with this episode, we see the Gibbs/Vance dynamic turned back two seasons to where they stood with each other in "Last Man Standing", and all bets are off with just what is really going on with him.

I watched Bloodbath yesterday. Wow that was great. They all worked as a team. Now they seem to work more separately..not working together as a team. Also I don't want to watch the show if it changes too much. The show with Ziva became the hit we all love. She kicks ass! No other show does together what NCIS does.Writers..........??? 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm not giving up on Leon, not until I absolutely have to. I do think it is very interesting that he is so....snarky...with Gibbs and then is his "normal" professional self with EJ (re the phone call at the end). 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Really liked Gibbs and Tony in the interrogation scenes. Did anybody else notice how "uncomfortable" Tony was in the beginning when Ziva and McGee were discussing EJ. I couldn't tell if Ziva and McGee noticed or not. I'm not sure how I feel about Vance. I kind of thought his determination to find the kid guilty was not like him. I know he said the guy was a friend, but he usually is determined to get the guilty party. With that said, I can't see where the finale is going. Are we going to have "evil" Vance?

I am still curious as to how the title "Out of the Frying Pan" applies to this episode. Most titles you recognize as having some aspect to the story, but this one is hard to peg. The saying "out of the..." usually means you are heading into something you shouldn't be, like you are in hot water already, why make it hotter? Do you think it refers to Leon?
