Discuss episode 8.18 Out of the Frying Pan

Looks like Gibbs and Vance go head to head again...given all their conflict lately, is this setting the stage for the season finale?

Let's get chatting and PLEASE remain on topic.

It'd be good to have a finale focussed on Vance. Until now, he is the only character who still doesn't appear like he 'belongs' in the team. A good plot can change that..

But seriously, I am hoping MW directs another episode sometime. He was Good at it.

Can't wait for tonight's episode...especially to see if the scene with Vance & the ax is actually in the episode. Chilling to see that! Do you find this valuable?

In Holland, this episode will be on tv in six weeks. Episode 12 is on tv now.
So I hope I can watch this episode on the internet soon. I can't wait. I think it'll be a nice one.
But I don't know if it's a stage for the season finale. I think EJ will be important in the finale, and I thought she isn't in this episode, is she?

I think Vance is suffering from some PTSD,but I could be totally of base here which most of you think I am usually am.

But, yes it very well could be setting the stage for SF. I can't wait for the new episode-finally!

Just started where I am. Love Gibbs comment to DiNozzo, "Hold on Skippy".

(Or something like that; I probably got the quote wrong.)

Can one of you great fans with even greater memories help me out on this: wasn't there an earlier reference to Tony as "Skippy" in another episode. It's tickling my memory but I can't quite put my finger on it. Am I way out in left field? Do you find this valuable?

it was a good episode and i enjoyed it.
vance had absolutely no right to slam an ex int he kid's face, he was innocent, butt still; that's not how you interrogate a kid. he should be reprimanded for that, he's the director of ncis, and that's how he behaves - seriously?!? :-O

mark harmon did an excellent job tonight, i like that he was nice to the kid. the gibbs/tony interrogation technique was strange.
it's good to know that it's not only ziva who don't like ej, but mcgee too. i gotta say that it's strange that mcgee is suspicious about ej; he's actually suspicious about someone :-O i am a bit disappointed that there was hardly any ziva :'( and not pleased that ej called, we know she will be back soon, they didn't have to foreshadow it. but this was a good nevertheless, i enjoyed it :)

You're right, Gibbs called Tony that in some episode earlier, I think in an earlier season, but I couldn't tell you what the episode was.

OK, this is kind of off topic, so I hope this doesn't lead to a lengthy diversion, but I saw something tonight which, to me, was really thrilling. My "handle" on this wiki is Doctor-Who. I'm a big Doctor Who fan. And I'm also a big NCIS fan. Well, tonight was the first cross-over from Doctor Who to NCIS. Daphns Ashbrook, who stars in tonight's NCIS episode, was in the Doctor Who movie broadcast on Fox TV back in 1996. Pretty cool, from my point of view. I think that she did a great job. (I won't say more than that, as it is still broadcasting on the west coast.) Do you find this valuable?
