"PLEASE... Perhaps after Ziva continues to befriend Georgia, she might eventually introduce her to Damon down the road? Seems each time our team went back to the pool hall, the owner got guiltier and guiltier. I missed it - I thought it was a squad Code Red especially after the looks Gunney got as she was being led away by Gibbs & Ziva. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

i really liked the way ziva tried to relate to georgia. i'm glad she talked a bit about her past experience with violence because i feel like that didn't get enough attention in prior episodes.i loved the emphasis on the team this episode. there was some tony ziva as partners, tony and tim banter, and even gibbs tony partnerships. i liked that there was no particular focus on an agent and that they worked as a team. the ending was so great! i'm a huge fan of tony-tim friendship. (i'm ignoring the shoddy job of injecting tiva into the episode; i hate seeing a "jealous" (i put it in quotes because his motives were alleged) tony and a smug ziva. i absolutely hate it. i want tiva but not like this--there is too much immaturity when they handle the relationship that way, and it just sets up for resentment in fans.) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I liked how Tony came through for McGee in the end - bringing forward the 'culprit' of identity theft. It was just a kid - who teased McGee about his routine, which is always the same - leaves for work at the same time (can't believe the 'comes at home same time'), eats the same take out food...he added a little 'spice' to McGee's life! ;)

Here's a late *phoof* by *phoof*A dogwalker and her friend are walking a group of pooches and stop to pick up another one. The girl knocks on the door, but instead of having the dog come to the door, it comes around from the backyard. As she puts the leash on the lab, they notice blood on its front and it starts to lead them behind the house where they stumble across a body. After the squad room scene from the promo, we learn he's a Marine Sgt. Travis Wooten and his wife is also a Marine. The dogwalker says they were all at home together when she stopped by the night before. Palmer let's it slip that he bears the nickname of “Black Thumb” (rather than the more imposing “Black Lung” that his colleagues dubbed him) thanks to his inability to keep plants alive and his work in autopsy. Heavy trauma to the back of the skull, and he went down fighting if his hands are any indication. He died early that morning. Ziva’s found a full bath, a table set for three in the house, and blood in the master bedroom. Gibbs is afraid there might be more than one victim. *PHOOF* 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Georgia Wooten is a promising Marine and has moved steadily up the ranks while her husband didn't quite make the same progress. That seems like it might be the cause for marriage problems. He also lost his job and often stops by a local bar. Apocalypse Now-Robert Duvall reference, and a Zivaism: pool-dolphin. Tony reveals he was quite the pool shark back during his days in the precinct. The usual banter, as Ziva teases him about his age and he asks her about ol' Ray. The bar owner breaks it up, and they start to question him. He seems surprised to find out Travis is dead. He was a regular, and he had gone through his usual routine. The bar owner was a former soldier too, and says Travis had issues like any other returning soldier. The owner thought Travis was divorced, and he had a girlfriend and the two had a tendency to squabble. The girlfriend would make a scene, and she had been there the night before too. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

McGee goes to see her and her alibi is going home and watching a movie. McGee mentions that the bar owner said they were a little testy, but she brushes it off. She claims she loved him and that they were going to get married. She also seems to be under the impression that Travis was divorced, and says she didn't know about Travis' wife and kid. McGee notices several marks on her arms, but she doesn't want to talk about them.William Penn was a pacifist and a Quaker, Ducky informs us. The plant that they find on the body apparently was named after Penn, and it secrets an oil that wiped away much of the evidence they needed. The attack must have taken several minutes. He might have tried to snatch the bat away from his attackers. He has old scars, and Ducky thinks it was someone he knew very well. The mother comes in with her son, and approaches Gibbs. Gunny Wooten doesn't need a counselor, but would much prefer to see the body. Gibbs takes her down, leaving the rest to ponder why the widow doesn't seem to be grieving. Down in autopsy, she asks to see his torso in addition to his face. *PHOOF*Ducky is left seemingly appalled as Gunny Wooten says he can take the body because she can't pay for a funeral at this time. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Gibbs takes the wife into the Gunny Wooten was taking her son to a theme park. She only told her son, and her CO when she asked for leave. Sgt. Wooten didn't have any known enemies. Apparently, Travis had told her that his relationship with Dancy was over. He had lost his job, and it only seems to hit her now. She says she can't believe she "gets to" raise her son now, a slip of the tongue that Gibbs picks up on. She claims it is fatigue, but Gibbs isn't buying it. McGee is on the phone trying to clean up his credit cards again! Tony perks up at the idea of McGee having to change his name. He’s got a million of suggestions… Abby has created replicas of Sgt. Travis' head. And has looked for household items that have similar types of wood to the type that hit the dead Marine, but come up empty so far on that front. Most of the usual suspects, mops, bats, etc. are all too broad. It seems it was some type of nightstick. A metal chain was brutally smashed into the back of his head. The killer was incredibly angry. The wife lied about filing for leave, and runs a lot of training session. The videos show she could hold her own against much bigger opponents, but that she could get too aggressive. She has bruises on her arms. The man she’s training looks ready to pass out, but she doesn’t stop. Gibbs tells them to go speak to her commanding officer. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

DiNozzo and McGee go to question the gunny's CO. He says she's an excellent officer, but that day she took it too far during one session. On her return from active duty, she had been evaluated and was not required to undergo PTSD therapy, but off the record, her CO thinks something non-work related was getting to her and that she needed help. Records show that there were several reports of suspected domestic abuse, but she always refused to press charges. She claimed it was due to outside training exercises. The team ponders the possibility that Sgt. Travis may have been a abusive husband. Gibbs goes to see Ducky, and they find bruises on his hand that are consistent with beating something or someone. Gibbs needs her to open up, and that he’s going to go talk to her. Ducky says Georgia felt weak because she had no power at home. Ducky wonders if she’ll be more receptive to Ziva given Ziva’s experiences. Gibbs is a little hesitant, but eventually agrees. When Ziva goes to talk to her, the gunny is naturally very defensive even after Ziva explains she has had to shut down in the past too. Georgia tells her to leave. Turns out, she wasn’t speaking to it with her family either and the only calls she had been making recently was to a single phone number that McGee has tracked down. They think she might have finally snapped after a beating, but she insisted she was in a hotel. Surprise, surprise, the bar owner did know Georgia. He tells Tony and Ziva that he used to pick up Travis after he got completely drunk, so he knew about her and the abuse all along. He also says Georgia told him not to report it, and that she would never kill the father of her child. Tells them the Gilroy girl, on the other hand, would attack Travis. Looking at her record back in the squadroom, it seems she has quite a history of abuse. She has shown up for work, and she's emptying her bank accounts. Appears to be making a get away. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Gibbs and Ziva go to take her down, and find her car packed with all her equipment. In interrogation, they ask her how she feels about knowing he has a wife, and Gibbs pushes her on how she could still love him knowing he used her. She's pregnant of course, and they had a big fight after she told him. She was planning on leaving him after he lost it, told her he already has a wife and kids.Abby finds the model of the rare watch (rather than a chain as they originally thought) that was used to leave the mark on the back of the Sgt’s head. The watch probably doesn’t belong to Dancy Gilrony, since bank video shows a crying Gilroy taking money out of her account at an ATM far away from the scene of the crime, so that rules her out. Gibbs goes to autopsy, and thinks about the video again. He has McGee play it for him from the squadroom. Good catch, Gibbs! He has it paused at a scene where the gunny is holding up the same type of watch in question.*Phoof* 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

He and Ziva meet up with the gunny at one of her training sessions. They are taking her in, and she just asks that they don't handcuff her in front of the others. In interrogation, Gibbs pulls out the pictures and starts going over the list of She looks away, and says she doesn't want to hear it. She thought she could take the beatings, and once she had grown numb to them, Sgt. Travis needed something else to control her. He told her that he would declare her unfit to raise her son, and that he would take him away. She would die for him. She didn't kill Travis, because she still need McGee is getting increasingly panicky, with the FBI is telling him that they suspect him of being involved in the Russian spy-ring. Tony offers to help, and pretends he can tell the person responsible from looking at the list of items bought. Lol, says it's a 14-year old with osteoperous. In the Labby, Abby has narrowed down the item used to hit the Sgt., by tracing the varnish back to Ireland. It was used on pool cues from the bar Travis' frequented. They confront the owner, and he finally comes clean when they bring Georgia in. He beat Travis to death after he realized just how scared Georgia was. Georgia asks only to return to her son, and as they lead the man away he asks Gibbs if he wouldn't have done the same in his situation. OOH! A Mini-Tim!! Turns out McGee's landlady's son is the person responsible for all the havoc wreaked on his life. Tony tracked him down! He says it was all too easy, what with McGee doing the same thing day in and day out: the kid figured he needed a little excitement. Tony's taking to a video game store, and they invite McGee along, and although at first he balks, Tony and the kid both roll their eyes knowingly. Tim grudgingly gives in. "...You're right. It's this Tony-the-begging-dog/Ziva-the-tease-with-the-bone thing that bugs me too. It's all done to tease the pubescent-teens (particularly the girls) but for series-watchers/analysts like me, it's quite a bore. Early Tiva was when Tony was the king-pin, and Ziva was trying to prove herself worthy (to Tony, we all knew she was a better agent). 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I really enjoyed this episode. It was nice of the show to feature domestic abuse. I really liked the ending, totally funny, and the boy recapping McGee's routine. There were nice team scenes, Tony and McGee banter and Tony and Ziva scenes. I was soo glad that Georgia did not commit the crime. It was nice that Ziva was sent to get through to the woman, although I think it could have been longer or that Ziva should have been the one to get through to her. But nevertheless, a really nice episode which I enjoyed. I really hope this episode got plenty viewers tonight like 20-21 million viewers!! :D

And yes, added a little spice to McGee's life, as you say. I kept thinking of the rich girlfriend Tim had that charged so many things - e.g., a John Deere tractor - so glad this one wasn't a killer or thieving girlfriend and it was resolved. Nice scenes with Tony & Tim! I also was heartened to see the conversation between Ducky & Gibbs about Ziva and that Ziva opened up a bit to the Gunny. That's progress.
