"I know...she didn't call him Timmy...but she called him honey...something i don't think she has ever called him...liked when she called him Tiny Tim in the 1st Christmas episode. I think Tony called him Timmy more that Abby did this season. What was the candy that Gibbs gave Tim to suck on...in place of coffee?"
The candy that Gibbs gave Tony was a butternut flavored type of hard candy. McGee wanted time to go and get coffee before going to a scene, Gibbs told him they didn't have time and threw the hard candy at him saying, "Suck on this butternuts" Tim tells Tony it is really good then says, "Wait. Did he just say..." "Suck, it up, McGee." Tony replies. Really funny scene and it was at the first of the episode "Mother In Law."

As for the episode in which Abby called Tim "Honey," that was Guilty Pleasures when he was moping about because Tony had a new "bromance," with Officer McCadden. Another great scene, especially when Gibbs enters the picture and Abby asks him to give Tim her hug because he needs it. Now that is one McGee/Gibbs scene that I liked (although Abby was involved too).

"I like this idea...the relatives all waiting somewhere, maybe at Ducky's new place, while the team is crime fighting! I can just imagine what Jackson & TD Sr would have to say to each other! And if Anthony Sr. would be all oozy charm to Mom McGee (have we decided who could play her?) "
Yes - Ducky trying to play referee when things get out of hand, lol. Especially if Tony, Sr. made a play at McGee's mom. I know that Stephanie Powers is older than what most would assume McGee's mother is - but if the writers went for older it would be really, really funny to see Stephanie as his mom.

RJ and Stephanie had such great chemistry on screen in Hart to Hart - it would be funny to see RJ trying to charm her only to be rebuffed. Or charming her and having her husband come after Senior with Ducky (and possibly Jimmy) trying to buffer the situation.

Oh, well, we can dream!

I always thought if you are going to put Jonathon Frakes in as Mc Gee dad...why not use the real Mrs Frakes...Genie Francis....she's beautiful and well the two would work really naturally together. I've seen them in a couple of things together
and Genie had to be one of the most popular actresses of the seventies.

You're right, UI, I forgot we'd talked about that! Ok, I vote for Genie Francis, she's cool!

Well I really like Stephanie Powers...would be fun to actually have her show up in an episode that has Tony's dad in it...she is one beautiful lady.

Oh, I didn't know that anyone had mentioned Jonathon Frakes as being McGee's dad but he would make a great dad for McGee. And Genie definitely would make a great Mom for McGee.

I always loved watching her on GH - As you said, she is beautiful and very talented plus she seems to have the mother vibe going quite nicely. As a mother, I find there are many actresses who do not have the mother thing going while others are naturals at it and Genie definitely falls into the second category. If anyone has never seen her work (as a mother) go to this video on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrsgnINnA1Q&feature=related. It is after her son on the show is supposedly killed in a fire. Her grief, her anger at those she blames for her son's death - it is so palpable you can feel it. I still cry when I watch this scene, even though Lucky is back on GH and doing fine, lol. And she goes from sweet to evil looking in .0 seconds when Sonny arrives - scary!

Jonathon Frakes - I could see him as a service man - one that would have taught McGee all about being a good and moral man. Genie would definitely work as the caring, loving mother that I have always felt that McGee had. But while Genie is sweet - if she were portraying McGee's mom - God help anyone that hurt her little boy. No criminal (or even Tony ) better dare!

Lol, that would be too funny, McGee trying not to have his mom take Tony to task for picking on him. "Mom! It's okay, we're friends." "Well, why does he keep calling you Probie? Your name's Timothy." Do you find this valuable?

Hi WW49...yes some time back in the summer many decided on Jonathon Frakes..he's a big tall military looking man...and good looking too. So Genie just seemed the perfect fit. They make a really neat couple.

Love your picture of Tony meeting Mc Gee parents...his dad would probably be a colonel or major...and mom would be beautiful and protective.

hmmm, Dad's eyebrows hitting his hairline & Mom is surprised, recovers quickly. Although I'm betting they know all about Abby already, maybe have met her casually at some point in the past. Wonder if they know about Tim's tat?!
Back to Gibbs & McGee...different relationship than with the others because as we've all said, McGee doesn't need a father figure to look up to like Tony & Ziva do, he's got an actual dad.

Hey Gotta...I would think that by now, Sara would have ratted out Tim on his tat to the Folks to score some points

Remember his tat says "Mom", so she can't object too much, LOL. And if his dad is Navy, it's a fair bet he has at least one tat. Do you find this valuable?

"The writers could have so much fun with this meeting!!!!"
And let's not forget how Tony likes to find out everything he can about his co-workers lives, nor the fact that he thought little sister Sarah was hot.

Tony would be asking rapid fire questions, trying to get the dirt on McGee. Dad would be saying, "Has he suffered some kind of head trauma?" McGee: "You would be surprised, Dad." Mother would be like, "Maybe he's had too much caffeine." Gibbs could walk by and say, "No such thing."

Regarding Sarah, Tony could say something like, "I see where Sarah gets her beauty," when meeting mom. Mom would be charmed and Dad would give Tony a look and say something like, "My daughter is too young for you." Ziva or Tim could then quip something about how Tony seems to go for younger girls while Tony tries to keep them quiet so he doesn't get into more trouble with McGee's dad.

So many different images to choose from when you think of this couple being Tim's parents. I hope if the writers at NCIS ever choose to have Tim's parents on that they are Jonathan and Genie. I can't imagine anyone better now that the image has been put into my mind.

I agree Willow. My uncle and grandfather served in the Navy and they both had tattoos - even though my grandfather hated his as he got older and settled down. He had a naked woman that went all the way from the top of his arm to right below the elbow. It wasn't that graphic, because it was done so many years ago but he was still embarrassed by it. He used to wear shirts with quarter length sleeves to try to hide it but my sister and I would see it when he was ready for bed and just wearing an undershirt.

As a mother, I would be pleased if my son got a tattoo that said "Mom." so I agre with you that objecting would be kind of hard for both parents.

Just watched a couple "Riker" episodes on Star Trek, TNG...yep, can totally see Frakes as McGee's dad. I'm glad UI suggested Genie Francis as Mom, because I just couldn't see Marina Sirtis (Frake's love interest on TNG) as Tim's mom. With her dark hair & eyes, just doesn't match Tim or Sarah.
