Cote de Pablo - Ziva David : A Positive Thread !

Some times , Ziva has received bad criticism for her behavior , but I think she , and Cote de Pablo , deserve more credit for good things they've brought to NCIS .So , why do you love Cote de Pablo ? And why do you love her Ziva David , 'the sweet ninja' ? We can talk about her interviews , contract , new projects , videos , but we've to respect her privacy (family , health , private life) Please , remember that this is a positive thread so , be kind about the woman , the actress and her character , and respect all other members' opinions . If you do not like Cote de Pablo , and/or Ziva , then this thread is not for you , because rudeness , bashing , teasing and bad criticism will be not accepted . p.s.: please , do not argue about Tiva . Ziva is kickass, with a kind soul hidden away under her Mossad made mask. While I love it when she throws suspects around, I also love to see the humanity brought out of her sometimes (except for the garbage that is Recoil). It is also hard not to point out that she (along with Cote de Pablo obviously) is strikingly beautiful and HOT.On another note, I agree with rosecake, I (a tiva fan) do not want this thread to become a tiva debate, their are other threads for that where I will be happy to join you. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Ziva! Kicks butt first then ask the questions! But as the seasons go on she is soo getting into her role. I see her thinking now before she acts out. And I love how she is getting the jokes and play on words more right now.

Cote de Pablo has done a fabulous job with the character of Ziva especially when you think of the complex and dynamic changes the character has undergone over the last 5 seasons. I was watching episodes from Season 3 a little earlier this week, and her transformation is incredible. She's competent yet troubled, sensitive about her family and yet totally loyal to the team. And even in Season 6 when she feels betrayed by everyone, she still manages to survive events that would cripple most of us. You just got to love the character and the energy the actress puts into her.

They are both awesome ;)even though Cote and Ziva a complete opposites, Form opposite sides of the world, have completely different lives, Cote has done a fantastic job making Ziva, a lovable, favorite and believable character. I love Ziva, and I love the magnificant job that Cote has done to bring this character into full blossom. Cote came in, and had a very difficult job to accomplish with her Ziva, and not many actors could have done it so well and also made Ziva so believable along the way. My only regret is that she hasn't been given another chance to sing for us, even briefly around the Squadroom, and on other NCIS sets. Wow! What a singer, too! I want for Cote and Ziva to be on NCIS for a very long time to come *smiling*.

I'm with you sammysoso, Ziva is one of my favorite characters - and one of my all-time favorite female characters on TV. I've loved watching her kickass, double gun draw-self and now I'm getting more comfortable with the post-Somalia Ziva. As much pain as her time with Saleem must have caused, she does seem more at ease with herself - and at least is allowing herself to be human and feel that pain. Seems like the experience has answered some questions for her - yes, her team is her real family, they're the ones who rescued her and can be trusted. And yes, her doubts about Eli were right, unfortunately. Yes, Cote has done a marvelous job and so have the writers - look at her first episodes and then look at her today, WOW! Funny thing, when Ziva was introduced in place of Kate, I was grateful they did the whole cubicle thing (you can't sit there, that's Kate's desk) - felt the writers & Cote did a great job of bringing her in without my hating her for replacing Kate. IMHO!

First off, I love this thread, do you know how long I wanted a Ziva thread and a positive one; there was one i found and it's full of anti-ziva, everything is bad about ziva there...ugh!!! I love Ziva, she is one of my fave characters in NCIS and my fave female character ever! yeah she is, and she is really pretty. Anyways, I think Ziva is a very unique character, the writers could not have came up with a better storyline and background for Ziva. I like the whole Ziva storyline, from her background come right down to what she is now, an American citizen. I don't care that she is a spy, an assassin or a cold blood, cold hearted killer or that she is Israeli Mossad; that's what makes me like her character, it's a unique character. Ziva was all of that in Israel, in Mossad; but she has changed now, she has realised that NCIS is her real family and they will be loyal to her and her to them. One has to understand why Ziva was the way she was, it's because of her background and trianing and hos she grew up and who she grew up with-->Eli David I never thought as Ziva as replacing Kate, but I do like the scenes where she was not allowed to sit at Kate's desk, even Paula was not allowed to sit there [and i gotta say wow! the team took Kate's death pretty hard and i also like the scenes where it showed that Abbt seemed to dislike Kate, Cote and the writers sis really good. Cote does an really excellent job protraying the character of Ziva, and she needs more credit for that. In season 7 for the first few episodes she had a fair amount of scenes, screen time and lines and then she was hardly in the show, why? i miss Ziva and i really want to see more of her, Ziva/Cote needs more scenes, screen time and lines!! They ( the writers can't just totally abuse her character like that (the Ziva arc in season 6/7) and then hardly show her, i don't think she was abused, btw. If I were an NCIS Special Agent and sent into the field with but one agent, my choice would be easy to make - Ziva. I admire her hand-to-hand combat skills, her skills with a knife, her skills with guns plus she has that "gut feeling" that only Gibbs now possesses. She is amazingly intelligent and intuitive. She obviously was well trained before she even saw the Statue of Liberty. She speaks several languages. I find her, without exception , the strongest agent on the show. Plus she is witty and handles Tony better than anyone and know how to put him in his place. She's aggressive which may scare many men from her. I find her aggressiveness sexy and attractive. I will never forget how beautiful she was as that nightclub entertainer in that long royal blue gown. She looked like a million bucks. She is far and away my favorite, and most believable character on the show.

i am so happy Ziva became part of the show she is my favorite! I used to not lik the show but in season three i started to watch it and i was hooked!

I think that Cote de Pablo has done an extrordinary job in developing the Ziva David character. If you see her in the first shows Kill Ari 2 etc. she was so different. I feel like we have seen her grow up in front of our eyes. Being older I think Abby and Tony are pretty set in their ways and are mostly the same character as when they arrived on the show. I think Ziva's character has changed more than any. Sometimes I see the early shows and Ziva is entirely different than she is now.

In Kil Ari and Silver War, she looked so young and innocent, now she is looks more mature. And she was abit different in season 3. Does anybody know if Cote has a boyfriend? Well, she does have one; but does anybody knows what his name is? I found some pictures of Cote shopping with her boyfriend in Monaco this month, but I don't know his name. I was trying to put it on the pictures page, but I wasn't getting through, maybe somebody could put it. She looked pretty, but Cote also looked like she gained some weight :( Does anybody else thinks she gained some weight? 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

We have all seen Ziva grow before our eyes.She has matured as a person and as an Agent. Especially when you think of all the changes her character has been through. I LOVE a hot woman with amazing hand-to-hand combat skills, who can throw a knife 100 feet and hit its target and is a sharpshooter to boot. Wow, how hot. She as grown as the scripts have forced her to grow, but not many actors could portray that growth as wonderfully as she has. Finally, I totally agree with your statement that Abby and Tony are "pretty set in their ways." You are being kind by not saying that they have not grown and matured as characters. And sadly, Abby regressed last season. Through so many changes in cast die-offs, new characters, old characters returning, shocking and unexpected killings and plot twists, Ziva has been an anchor for NCIS. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. I agree with all of you, Cote has brought a great deal of talent to the show, She has certainly grown over the past 5 years and it has been wonderful to watch but they all of grown. I enjoy the comeradory of all of the charactors. at times we see the old selves and then an episode comes along and we see growth but that is pretty realistic, about the time you think someone has matured in an area, the regess.ha
