What would happen to the chemistry of the NCIS team if sean murray doesnt sign on for another season? Do you find this valuable?

In my very humble opinion, it wouldn't be a good thing but it wouldn't be too bad either. Anyway I think he will sign on. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

The team would lose the little brother figure, and probably the only emotionally normal person. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I think it's a moot point, cos I think he'll be back next season.

But while I'd rather he didn't go (cos as much as he can irritate me I still really like him), I don't think the dynamic would suffer too much...He wasn't there in the beginning, and I still love and rewatch those episodes. For me the core dynamic will always be the one between the original four - Gibbs, Tony, Abby and Ducky.

Still don't want him to go though!!

This is my feeling exactly! The essence of the show will always be with the original four, but McGee, Ziva, Vance, and even Palmer are the really really awesome and tasty icing on the cake

THIS.

I'd rather McGee stays, but if he has to go, as long as the original four are there, I'm fine.

As a fan who came in later in the series, I would have to say that no McGee would ruin the show for me (as the loss of nearly any of the characters would). His computer skills can perhaps be replaced but not his interactions with the team. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I do not think no McGee would mean no show for me, but the team chemistry would change a lot, just like after Kate 's death even worst as it has been 7 years not just 2.
I'd rather McGee to stay, I don't want him to die (are theyre spoilers that he might die, now I'm worried) but as long as Gibbs , Abby and Tony stay I'm good. (I love Ducky but like Ziva or McGee I could see the show without him)

I actually think Kate's death helped solidify the team dynamic...In a weird kind of way I think it made the characters a lot closer. Do you find this valuable?

To compare the McGee-less eps from first season to season seven and say that the show wouldn't be missing something is pretty crazy. There are 162 eps at this point and McGee's been in 147, compared to Ziva's 115. There'd be a huge hole, starting with the fact that he frequently has some sort of knowledge, experience, or insight that helps to solve the case. Nope, it would be a major shake up to lose McGee--the same with any of the regular players. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

As long as the core four are on the show, any other character is expendable. And frankly, the way he has been portrayed lately as an arrogant ass lately, I think the dynamic could only be improved with his departure. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree, I would hate to see anything happen to any of them- McGee included. As for the team dynamics, I think that losing Tim would leave a huge hole for them all- in lots of different ways.
Tony really does love McGeek and enjoys the banter and the needling that goes on, Ziva has an ally, someone to roll her eyes at when Tony is more Tony than usual, she is also drawn to Tim's softer side and would miss his honesty with her. Abby would be devistated. McGee is her other half. Could you imaging typing instructions on a key board with another person?? I know that it is fiction but it goes to show just how in tune those two are and even if they don't get back together romantically, they will always have a deep understanding of each other, without McGee in the team, Abby wouldn't be able to function as well as she does.
And Gibbs... NCIS is his life and the team is his family, IMO if he was to loose any of them now it would be just like loosing Kelly all over again. He has invested in his team in the past couple of seasons, something that we are led to beleive that he has never done before and to lose one now, especially if it was in support of him, would be a bad blow for our leader.
Also do you remember when our team was split up, how strange it was to have someone else sitting at McGee's desk, not to mention what he actually brings to the team in regards to his computer skills etc.
No sorry, I have decided that losing McGee is not an option ...

Although I like McGee (less in the last Season) , I agree with you . Only the original four are irreplaceable . JMO

NCIS was great when he wasn't part of the team....the team will live on if he doesn't return. HOWEVER, Gibbs and DiNozzo are a different story.

personally, I find McGee annoying. He was a cool sidekick in the beginning but now he is just a pompous pain in the rear

I think it will be a miss when McGee is not returning for season 8.

He is a part of the crew, However his storyline is not very connected with the others (except with Abby)

Thanks, DB, I'm the same, came in later in the series. I have to say no McGee would mean a huge gap...an unwelcome change and I don't think I could bear to watch the show any more.

I slightly disagree here, but only on Ducky. Yes, he is a valuable member to the team, but I can also see him quite easily retiring too, especially given how Palmer has grown

But yeah, while I would hate to see anyone go (and I doubt Murray will go, it is the family business after all), I think it would be either Gibbs, DiNozzo or Abby leaving that would really break the team

I loved NCIS from the start, but when McGee joined the team was complete to me. The Kate-Ziva switch was a pretty succesful one in the long run, but to be honest, I'd rather not see them try that with Tim. Kate was someone I liked, but didn't really miss, while McGee leaving would change the whole show for me and not for the better.

That being said, they should really give him some more interesting storylines of his own, lose the arrogance and let him be the guy he was before, only with an added maturity like they are writing him now. If that makes any sense at all...
