"This was a good episode, lots of laughs. The whole 'bromance' with Tony and McCadden was funny but once Tony wised up, it was neat to see him defend his fellow 'geeks.' I did like Holly Snow and have to admit, I do like her far better (IF they did a Gibbs pairing) than Alison Hart...."
I've got to agree. I like Holly Snow. I don't know why, but she's "just right" for some reason.

Tony was great, wising up for McCadden, and like you I really loved him getting McGee's back!

" The show opens with a dazed man walking over a hill. A bunch of teens driving a car are messing around with their phones and don't see him until the boy riding shotgun shouts, "Look out!" They hit and are shocked to find his back is covered in stab wounds. They call the cops.
The credits roll.
Tony enters the squadroom, very ticked off. Plops his backpack down and stalks over to McGee's desk. "Good morning, Tony!" the probie chirps as he pulls sprinkles off his donut. Tony asks him if he knows what day it is, and why he didn't meet up with him at a museum the day before. Are they dating now, Ziva jokes. Nope, Tony’s got McGee playing wingman as he attempts to pick up a girl McGee went to school with who works at the museum. McGee tells him that they weren’t supposed to meet until the next day, so Tony starts picking at McGee’s many ticks. McGee pulls the rather childish stunt of calling Tony’s cell, and Tony tries to do the same thing. Ziva looks on half amused, half disappointed by their “7 year b*tch.” Gibbs tells them they still don’t qualify as a married couple because they’re still talking, so instead they go check out the dead sailor in Norfolk.
Lt. David Moss was stabbed and then run over a few feet from his house. Ducky looks over the body, and says it was a big knife. Ducky says he was stabbed somewhere else, so Tony and McGee are sent to follow the blood trail. McGee tells a lame joke, and is rewarded by Tony telling him he was funnier when he was fatter.
They find McCadden at a crime scene, and Tony and “McC” trade movie quotes. The hotel is in shambles, wine bottles, and blood everywhere. Just then the wife comes in, and she knows full well who he was meeting with: a prostitute. *phoof*
"
Loved the expressions on our boys faces at the phoof...when the wife says the dead guy was meeting with a prositute!

"I know! It was so super-awesomely-good!

It was classic NCIS! It was the way it should always be!

Plus - did anyone else catch the DPB walk-through behind Ziva in the bullpen!

FYI - loved the McVirgin moment, where he asked what the sex-codes were and finally resorted to the internet. Super-funny!

And yeah - I think Cote might be baking a bun too. Her face looks fuller.

(Sorry, painkillers for a busted wrist and half a glass of white wine make me hyper!)"
I did see him...the DPB walk-through, although I have to admit I didn't realize who it was. I wondered several episodes ago about Cote but decided I must be imagining things.

"I agree with others who suspected the lawyer from the first we saw of him. Of course, one would assume that Charlotte would have told her lawyer/boyfriend that our first known victim was paying for information not sex so killing him didn't really make sense. LOL when Ziva said Tony and Tim were fighting like a married couple and Gibbs said "No, they're still talking to each other".
By-the-by, anyone for a bumper sticker that says "Honk if you've been married to Leroy Jethro Gibbs"?"
LMAO, that's wonderful! Yes, I'd go for one of those!

Thinking about why a lot of us seem to like Holly...she's not mean, snarky, mocking and not out to trip or trick our Jethro. AND, she's not a lawyer...a big plus. She is interesting, more overtly feminine, probably smarter than Mallison - and I would guess one tough cookie. I would say the character was written to appeal to fans and the Mallison character was written to be disliked. Strongly.

As for Cote being or not being pregnant. If you look good she gets this way towards the end of the show each and every season....I figured that with Cote loving to run, I read somewhere that if she get's the chance she runs for over 2 hours each day she get this done more often during the hiatus periode. While they film the season this is not the case with the long hours they make so she puts on a little weight at the end of each season. Trust me, it happens each and every season, remember the discussion last year....same thing. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

"I'd agree that the undercover situation goes back to Tony's unresolved issues with women. I think Tony would be uncomfortable acting like a playboy because he hasn't been like that since Jeanne, and it's obvious he's still not over that whole situation. I think the episode Obsession is probably our best bet of having any of those issues resolved or even addressed. "
When I've seen this scene I've thought that too , but I also thought that Tony was so uncomfortable because he has never had to act in that way and he's never had the need to use a prostitute (luckly !) ... except for his "first time" ! :)
And now we have three weeks to wonder why Tony will be obsessed in 7.21... uff , I hate breaks ! I think they a little screwed up the TV Show's pathos !

I loved this episode . On 'favourite episodes list' , it's the second one behind "F&B" .
The scene where Tony asks McCadden to go was pefect , and Ziva's "bye-bye" and her look to Tony were great !
The last scene into Squadroom has showed us how deep is the relationship/friendship among Tont , Ziva and Tim , like a real family .
I've never liked 'love stories' in NCIS , but if the writers had this 'impelling desire' of giving Gibbs a woman , I hope it was Holly . I like her pretty much , more than CGIS' detective and , obviously , more than M.A.Hart . Holly is charming , smart , swettier and prettier than the other two .
I also really liked that , for once , we've seen Tim jelous of Tony and not the contrary . Finally Tim's understood (we already know it) and showed us and his colleague , how much he cares about him and their friendship/brotherhood . I think Tony deserved it . Now , I hope the writers didn't revert into usual silly-juvenile relationship , as in the past .
I think , this's what I'd like to see in every NCIS episode : crime (maybe a little more) , investigations, team interactions , feelings , friendship , jokes and laughs.

I think we'll have a great Season Finale !

I agree about Tony.....he has never been with or doesnt know how to act with an escort. As Holly said he was there to be impressed and not to impress which is what Tony usually does :)
Do we know its Tony getting obsessed in 7.21? Maybe T-Cad makes another appearance, LOL!

I've thought this , reading the synopsis on the site ...
You're right , it would be so nice to see T-Cad again and Tim jelous again ! LOL

Oh , I forgot to mention another funny moment : when Tony told Gibbs that he's going to take a cold shower , after his first met with the prostitute !

It was a good episode, IMHO, not great. I did start liking Holly after the compassion she showed for Charlotte in the conference room, and Gibbs softened up to her then also. I think her phone call interrupting dinner was probably to go get Charlotte from the hospital. If Gibbs wanted to protect Holly, why didn't he assign Ziva to stay with her at his house? (Okay, I know, then Holly wouldn't have disappeared, but seriously, folks, Ziva was just sitting around the office.)
Did anyone else notice that Gibbs shot the lawyer five times, one for each victim?

I didn't notice that. Good eye. And appropriate. I also love the part where Gibbs leaves Tony in the hospital room with Charlotte and Gibbs tells Tony to shoot anyone who tries to enter the room. Tony looks over at Charlotte all beaten up and responds 'gladly'. I'm assuming that Gibbs didn't assign Holly a guard because she wasn't the one they believed was as risk. They thought it was a customer who was stalking Charlotte and killing her johns and didn't consider Holly at risk, especially since the killings started while Holly was out of the business.

Forgive me, cos I'm new, and I haven't seen Jet Lag, but I've got a theory regarding Gibbs and Holly Snow.

I don't actually think either of them is interested in each other romantically...I think rather it's the fact that they both read other people so well, but they can't seem to read each others' minds. I don't think Gibbs knows what to make of her, or she him. I don't see anything romantic there...just curiosity...

But if they're going to insist on pairing Gibbs up with someone I take Holly Snow over Hart any day!

"Tony and Gibbs go to see her, and part of Charlotte’s face is bruised severely. The lawyer, her boyfriend, beat her up, and is extremely jealous. Oh no! He’s got the phone, and he’s the one who texted Holly. Back in MTAC McGee tracks him down thru his cell phone, and gives Gibbs the location. Gibbs rushes off to a foreclosed office park.
There, the scumbag has her tied to a chair, and tells her he’s going to kill her so that Charlotte can’t find any more clients. She isn’t going to go down without letting him know what she thinks, and he gets angry and puts the knife to her neck. Gibbs rushes in and shoots him several times. He comforts the terrified Holly.
Back in the squadroom, McCadden calls wondering when he’ll see Tony again, but Tony’s far too busy, and will be from thereon out. And with that he breaks up T-Cad, much to McGee and Ziva’s great delight. McGee gets a NutterButter for being a stalwart buddy, but gets it taken away after he smugly tells Tony that this is his form of an apology and makes that funny noise over his cup. Tony won’t apologize, but McGee and Ziva share a knowing wink, and Tony smiles as he sits at his desk.
Meanwhile Gibbs’ is complimented on his steaks by Holly Snow. AH, the deal breaker was that she wanted was dinner without expectations, with a friend. Gibbs is surprised, they’re friends? She gets a call, and she’s got to go. She asks if she can count him among her few friends. He says he doesn’t have many either. And with a peck on his cheek, she’s off. Gibbs remains at his table. *phoof* And...no new episode next week. Booo!"
I cannot thank you enough for your recaps, we had severe weather last night and it knocked out my dish after waiting WEEKS to see this episode :(
