I have said it it from the get go, there will be a showdown between Eli David and Gibbs, it's inevititable and probably the seaon finale IMO or at least leading up to it. I get the feeling the Vance was somehow involved with the Israeli Op to Somalia, and was probably running his own Op involving the dead marine Cryer. This confrotation between Gibbs, Eli, Vance, Ziva, DiNozzo, and the rest of team will be fireworks that I have no doubt.

I think it will be simply man to man. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I honestly don't think it will be a team confrontation. I think it will be simply man to man."If it were so simple, that would be too easy just man to man. Watch it'll be something along the lines of Mossad vs NCIS 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"If it were so simple, that would be too easy just man to man. Watch it'll be something along the lines of Mossad vs NCIS"It will start that way possibly. But it will end up being Gibbs vs David. Eli David may let another man fight his battles, but Gibbs won't. Do you find this valuable? |

Great blog entry on one of the best dynamics on the show. But I don't know...did Eli necessarily know what when down on the ship? All he knows is what Ben-Gidon told him, and with Ziva conveniently missing from the picture and then refusing to return home, Ben-Gidon could easily have decided himself to pin the blame on her.

Since Alyah it has been my opinion that there will be a final showdown between Gibbs and Eli. The first meeting in Tel Aviv was just calculating the adversary's position. Margy , you compared Gibbs and Eli very well with the two large dogs watching each other. If this story arc were a traditionally classic drama both of them would be the typical protagonist and antagonist. Scene number two was the meeting with Ben Gidon. I'm not quite sure if it was Eli’s plan or Ben Gidon's to disgrace Ziva and make it impossible for her to stay in the US. But I'm sure he had to bring her home. Scene three is the phone call with Vance. Though Eli was warned to stay away from Gibbs I suppose there will be an after play as Eli already announced then.

He could not lie to her and tell her no. It was written on his face. The plan was Eli's. Ben-Gidon would not want Ziva back at Mossad. She knew the truth of what happened. That he had murdered Cryer. He would have wanted her to break all links with her father and Israel. Do you find this valuable? |

He'd have had to avoid that Eli got to know the full truth. Do you find this valuable? |

You note I said tried. *grins* I think he would have failed miserably. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Great blog Margy :)I would like to mention though that Mossad does try to find her - increased presence in North Africa and later in GCBC Gibbs tells Vance that they tried but couldnt find her since NCIS found her first. I think Gibbs and Eli's history so to speak would have actually started off with Ari. Eli was not able to judge/control his own son will also be something Gibbs will question Eli about. "Hi Margy - are you suggesting that Ben-Gidon would have wanted to take Ziva out on Eli's orders?"I think that was what Ziva meant when she said "Are you following orders?" to Ben-GIddon in the interrogation room. Do you find this valuable? |

"Hi Margy - are you suggesting that Ben-Gidon would have wanted to take Ziva out on Eli's orders?"No. I think Eli wanted Ziva returned, but since she knew that Ben-Gidon had murdered Cryer, Ben-Gidon would have wanted Ziva dead. Do you find this valuable? |

But I'm also sure Ziva would have taught him a lesson.*grin* Do you find this valuable? |
