Verry intense episode. for sure needs a second viewing. So much going on with the team Vance and his wife. New nic names for McGee. Some great lines for the whole crew. Have to run NCIS LA is on and is working up to be a good one too. Later 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"does anyone have the voiceover from the end.? Id like to have it."
Maybe I'm just overly cynical this evening, but when they were playing the part with Tim's voice over of the stuff from his self-help cds while Gibbs looked at photos of Kai as a kid, I couldn't help connecting them and thinking of them as "brainwashing" and programming, too.

I haven't seen it so this is a real (ie not rhetorical) question.

Does Tony serve any useful prupose as an agent in this epsiode? Or is he just irritating and stupid like he was in "Outlaws"? The recap kinda reads as if he was - stupi and irritating that is.

If so, it looks like a repeat of most of last season in that regard - Tony as the comic relief and the butt of the jokes.

I'm a Tony fan and I'd love to see him do SOMETHING that suggests he is a competant agent, because (again) I feel as if we've seen precious little of since episode 1.

Way too much Vance and too little Gibbs! I didn't like tonight's show and wonder when Mark Harmon will be back. Except for last week, it is like he has had a very minor role this season. I wish they would just send Vance to NCIS LA so I don't have to watch him any more.

More Gibbs, please. At this stage, I am not a happy camper.

Did anyone else love the fact that Tony went into the women's bathroom to talk to Ziva? Every conversation they have is so cryptic. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I loved this episode! It was great to see the conclusion of Director Vance and Kai. And it was very exciting.

Mrs. Vance (I forget her first name) surprised me at the end.

I actually think we've been seeing quite a bit of Gibbs this season. Maybe more Vance than Gibbs in *this* ep, but then this was supposed to be a Vance-centric episode, so that's not really surprising. I'd prefer to see Vance fade into the background myself, but Vance fans probably appreciate seeing him get featured eps.

I have it, writing it up now. “Who we are might be predetermined. The path we follow is always of our own choosing. We should never Never allow our fears or the expectations of others, to set the frontiers of our destiny. Your destiny can’t be changed but it can be challenged. Every man is born as many men and dies as a single one.”

Couple notes.... before I post the recap. I felt while it was a really good episode, there was a LOT of history and details in this episode, almost too much. It was hard to recap all of the details but I did the best I could. But, it seemed there were far more details than normal in this episode.

I felt sad for McGee. I really liked the chemistry and actress chosen to play Amanda and was excited for him. After all Tony's teasing I was happy it was finally McGee's turn. The turn it took really bummed me out. Everyone was genuinely happy for him. Poor guy, one steals his credit card information and another is using him and going to kill him. Okay THAT sucked!

Jackie Vance is a great character. She stood up to him and I was impressed. She was right when she said, you are my partner now! She stood by her man and protected him. Good for her!

Now, being a Criminal Minds fan.... while the voiceover was cool at the end...it just seemed to familiar to me. It's something they do during each Criminal Minds episode so, it seemed a bit of copying of another show. Maybe that wasn't the intent but I like the originality of NCIS and wasn't fond of this same feature being used on 2 of my favorite shows....

The writer is new to writing for NCIS...maybe he does Criminal Minds scripts as well.

Yes! I pointed it out to my hubby as soon as he walked in. I thought it was hilarious and expected a woman to walk in. Did you see how Tony checked out the stalls! Funny!
And I felt so bad for McGee. He gets enough crap from Tony and he finally finds a nice girl, then she turns out to be, well, "that." I new something was up, but I did not know it would be like that.
And is McGee making Motivational Tapes now? Or did he just read from them? Hmmmm? Author, now motivational speaker. Thanks to Tony. :) (And I am not ragging on Tony. I love Tony...he is so funny!)
Back to the Tiva bathroom conversations, I believe they are a bit like the Gibbs/Fornell elevator conversations. Private and where they feel safe to be honest with one another.

I Iiked her too. How depressing. And I think Tony really was happy for McGee. And proud of him as though he were a big brother watching his little brother finally meeting a great woman. Hated the way that turned out but, because I'd seen a brief glimpse of the woman fall to the sidewalk in a preview, I sort of knew she wasn't long for this world.

It seems pretty much all of Team Gibbs has not had much luck in the relationship dept. lately. If their dates aren't turning out to be murderers or identity thieves they're accusing them of murder or running off to Hawaii or stalking them Sheesh.

There was most definitely some major flirting going on this episode! Dunham and Ziva, Ziva and Tony, Abby a wee bit jealous about McGee and talking about Eric from NCIS: LA - I think all their hormones, except McGee's were in overdrive tonight! 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

He doesn't appear to be one of the former CM writers but, definitely the voiceover is something done each week on CM. It felt like deja vu for me....thought I was on the wrong night, right channel! ;) But definitely a lot of details in this episode...far more than normal. Had to keep rewinding to get stuff... :(
