I was reading on IMDb that NCIS: Los Angeles "Killshot" (1x05) follows the investigation of a United States citizen of North Korean descent murder. The secrets to classified software are thought to be lost until NCIS uncovers a suspect from Director Vance's past. Abby also appears in this episode, and it was revealed that the events from this episode will be part of a story arc for the regular NCIS. I might just watch that episode of NCIS:LA to understand this episode better (plus Abby's in it!) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Yeah, I did realize that the NCIS LA episode "Killshot" had the North Korean murderer, i thought that the LA episode got mixed up with "End Game" Though i do wonder why the two episodes have some Korean murderer in them. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I watched NCIS LA, "Killshot". This is backstory to "Endgame" for sure. Vance sits down with Hettie and has a personal discussion of the history between him and thisNorth Korean killer. It goes back to 1984, "when I was green." Apparently whatever mission he was assigned to, everyone but Vance died. "I should be dead." There were 3 interactions between them from that time until current episode. There were direct threats made directly from this NK killer to Vance via phone (she called him) in this episode to set up the stage for "End Game."

I watched to see Abby cross over and then was suprised to see Vance unload personal history. Hettie had a way of pulling it out of him that fascinated me. It didn't take long to realize this was backstory for "End Game." Interesting way for TPTB to do this.....

Also, Abby apparently is the only one that can get away with calling Vance, "Leon." Eric couldn't when he tried. Her cross over was only via phone, while Vance was in the flesh.

The actress who was in Killshot-will resume her spot in Endgame-I'm sure you already knew that though.

Oh, I loved hearing Abby call Vance 'Leon' that was great but was disappointed to see her crossover only by phone.

I think this is the first opportunity to learn a bit about Vance's past, as begun in LA's "Killshot".

Will he turn out to have an obsesion like Jenny "a La Grenouille"?

If ya'll will pardon my French. LOL

Ever since Vance joined NCIS last season, things have started happening to him, such as the dead boxer from season 6 "Knockout", the North Korean assassin from the NCIS LA episode "Killshot", and now this.
Someones after Vance, I think.

One could guess that one doesn't get to sit in the director's chair without having some personal experience. There is that file that was shreaded and he did understand (maybe admired) the way Gibbs and Mike Franks cleaned up Jenny's death. He's also the new kid on the block when it comes to the other alphabets

It's safe to assume that Vance has other than friends. How he deals with that is the real question, IMHO.

I feel like this will be the underlying theme for a few episodes unless it wraps up in this one. Kinda like the mole in season 6. There were around 3 episodes concerning that theme. Do you find this valuable?

I didn't like NCIS sharing this NK assasin woman from NCIS LA. Is Shane Brennan trying to terminate NCIS and continue with the spin off, importing cast like Abby, Vance ect and leave Gibbs behind. Because the producer of the spin off is David Bellisaro and he is not in good terms with Mark Harmon. If Gibbs leaves I won't watch NCIS or NCIS LA 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I don't think that SB is so crazy on terminating the #1 Show of the year and the most watched Show of every times ! It's impossible ! He would lose his job as the chief of NCIS ! Don't worry , NCIS (the original) will go on for a very long time !
I don't remember where , but I've read that the producers and the writers are already thinking about the plots of the next Seasons (plural !) , as when in Season 5 they were thinking about Season 6 and 7 ... They're genius !!!
I think they put NCIS cast members in NCIS LA to help the spin-off growing up and increasing its audience . They are a succesful guarantee ! (right words ? Do you understand what I mean?)

I gotta agree with rosecake. Mr Brennan would not be sucessful favoring one show over the other.

TV history tells us that crossover plots are very common with related TV shows - some of the Star Treks, Peticoat Junction and Green Acers, as far back as the Man and Woman from UNCLE. Once there was even a crossover plot between Magnum PI and Murder She Wrote. I kind of expect it will be the same from time to time with Classic and LA.

No, Shane isn't going to terminate the original NCIS. He wouldn't do that. If he wanted to stay only with L.A.... which I think is his creation?...someone else would step in. Mark is already a producer there. Don Bellisario hasn't had anything to do with NCIS for sometime now...season 4 maybe...his name is there as a courtesy I believe, because ncis is originally his creation. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Does anyone else find it strange that Special Agent Chad Dunham is listed in this episode? What does he have to do with this case? He is in the Middle East/Africa. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Special Agent Chad Dunham is "Chad from Chad" ! The agent that gave Gibbs and Vance informations about "a Mossad woman" in Somalian desert and about Democles , in the beggining of Season 7 . We've just seen him on video-conference in MTAC .

I like the crossover stuff. It makes me like NCIS: LA more. LOL. At first I was terrified that NCIS: LA would mean the end of NCIS. But that was back when I was a Probie NCIS fan. LOL. Well, I guess I still am. I still am uneasy about it, but the crossover gives the regular NCIS more to feed off of. And I am curious about Vance now. I used to really dislike him. I am starting to warm up to him. I grew up with Mark Harmon...never watched St. Elsewhere, I loved Summer School. :) So I am naturally a Gibbs fan. And Vance irritated me because he was at odds with Gibbs. At least they are beginning to play on the same team now. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

We know Harmon has an 8 year contract - so this isn't the last year at least not for Gibbs - God willing!

Next year is when the hooting and hollering might start. Personally, I'm very optimistic because the story lines are far from tiered. Watch out if the the wrtiers make Gibbs jump a shark though - LOL
