Great episode! Loved the way Gibbs handled Vance and the Mossad agent. Loved the way Gibbs reassured Ziva. What did he say to her? Doubt we'll ever know but might have been in the vein of ... "with friends, it's okay to say you're sorry."

Well - it won't be play by play since it's over and I'm going by memory but...Two shrimpers find a white bag in their attempt to fish - in the bag are human remains and a dog tag. Meanwhile Tim and Tony have made a bet about whoever is fastest to remove a virus on the computer gets to do their work. Ziva agrees to do Tim's (and Tony's) work in exchange for Tim finding out the status of her application. But behold, her application is REJECTED! Meanwhile Vance and Gibb discover that the body belonged to a marine who was AWOL and was last seen on the ship that went down with Ziva earlier this year...anyone want to pick up?

OK, let's see. Gibbs and Vance exchange looks. Gibbs tells Vance there is one person who survived the shipwreck and could tell them what happened. Vance brings in the idea of "good cop, bad cop," and Ziva is brought in to be questioned by Vance. She asks if he's rejected her application, and Vance tells her that her cost of admission is this conversation (or something to that effect). She tells him she can't discuss Mossad work. Vance says she better. So she begins by telling him about how she managed to get on board of the ship. Meanwhile, a Mossad agent named ? arrives at NCIS demanding Ziva's immediate release.

I'm not a good typist but......First Scene; 2 friends just going for adventure in the Indian Sea (?)are shrimp fishing. In their net , however, is a skeleton with dog tags. Next Scene: Tony is making a obnoxious try and sounding like a clock as he watches McGee trying to fiqure out what virus he has on his computer and Tony has given him a deadline. Ziva walks in -scares Tony- while coming up behind him. Ziva wants McGee to help her with finding out her status on her application with NCIS. Ziva in return will do McGee's paperwork and Tony's report writing. Mcgee then explains they have found a body washed up and its mangled flesh had a dog tag. Next Scene- Vance&Gibbs in mtac. they have a video sattelite conf. with Special Agent Donavon. Donavon tells the 2 the marine is Staff Sgt. Pryor. Said he was a deserter and that he was last seen in Jordan and was selling connections to Mussad and was last seen in the Damacleus(sp?)and was lost at sea. There were no survivors, says donovan. Gibbs said , we know who survived. They need to talk to Ziva and do a 'Good cop-bad cop" Do you find this valuable? |

Im so happy that Ziva's reasons for kissing the marine were purely 'work related' there was a lot of hipe from minor fans on the cbs website and im happy that they will finely stop b****ing about, but they will find something else Yeah _-_ McAbby scenes we havent see many of those finely some good old McAbby in The Labby!!!!!! Gibbs meanwhile is watching the whole scene on Vance's big screen. Tim and Tony are trying to find out more about the dead Marine. Turns out SSGT Daniel Cryer was trained to do counterintelligence work, but went AWOL. Tony makes a nice reference to 'Alien'. Tim goes to see Abby finds out the ship wasn't where it was supposed to be, which means something is hinky in Abby's story. Abby has called to tell the search crews where the ship actually went down. Ducky is doing an autopsy on the fish that were feeding on the dead Marine, he wasn't drowned but was shot. Funny moment when Tony almost walks out with skull. Ziva doesn't want to give up all the info, because it only concerns Mossad in her opinion. Vance says all he really wants to know is about the dead Marine. Tim comes in to see Gibbs, says the entire crew was executed. Do you find this valuable? |

Abby has determined where the boat went down and everyone discovers that the ship was not destroyed in a storm; also she and Ducky are looking at the evidence. Vance leaves Ziva under Tony's "supervision" and questions the newly arrived Mossad agent who tells him that Ziva shot the AWOL marine after they learned he was telephoning someone. Vance tells Gibbs that Ziva is through, but Gibbs tells Vance more or less that they need Ziva's side of the story. Meanwhile, Ducky "abducts" Ziva from Tony and tells her that she is their friend, that she needs to trust them, and that the truth will set her free. He also implies that she's been carrying the weight of all the dead people on the ship with her and that she needs to let it go. She says that only one of the dead have weighted her down - inferring the marine. As they talk, Abby, Tim, and Tony discover that the slugs they had from the remains of the ship are missed shots. Believing Ziva couldn't miss any shots. Tony asks Abby to find a slug from a fired 45.

Next scene- McGee finds that Ziva has been given the 'code blue' and 'red flag' . Ziva wants to know why she has been rejected. Vance walks in the bull pen and said, "seems like we have a problem." Ziva follows Vance in his office. She wants to know if this was all because a psych evaluation. Vance contines with , you survived the prison camp. he said you didn't talk about it with the counselor. She asks, am I am now going to talk about it with you? Vance reminds her she has been working for 2 masters; Mossad and her father. She says her father is not an issue. Vance said, you want to stay here then lets talk........start with what led you to the camp. Back at the bullpen; Tony and mcGee need to look at the evidence to determine what is going on- for Ziva. They looked closely at Staff Sgt Cryor's record. he had an immaculate record until 6 months ago. then he boarded the damacles and was never seen again. McGee looks for Abby. Abby is already looking at the weather patterns of the day the ship was sunk. Abby found that the ship was never near the storm on record. McGee came up with finding the back current of the storm to see if they could find the wreckage. Ducky learned that Cryor did not drown, but rather- shot in the head. Back to Vance- Director David had intell regarding tracking terrorists - they killed soldiers and Mossad agents. Vance said, I know, I gave it to him. Went on to summarize what we know about the ship, where it was going, and that it never made it to port. We recovered a body, covered in plastic. Ziva explains when people die on board occasionally their body is wrapped in plastic and stored. vance- I want to know how he died. McGee comes into Gibbs- they found the wreckage- the entire crew were executed...... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

next scene- Ducky and Gibbs behind the one way mirror. Ziva is now in the interrogation room Ducky is not liking Gibbs and Vance giving ' tough love' to Ziva. He feels sorry for her Vance reminds Ziva she is not charged but needs information regarding a marine's death and needs her info for the record and she could be in trouble if she omits information with her version. She then tells of Cryor finding a ship to take them to the horn of Africa. He meets with the captain and tries to work out a deal for passage. The captain wants to see 'his friends' that he speaks for. Out come Ziva,and other Mossad agents. Ziva does most of the talking. Captain is a little apprehensive but they remind him the money is good. He sees the money in a satchel and says....we leave tonight. The crews are watching the agents- the agents are watching the crew. Cryor is stuck right in the middle. No one trusts him. He was found rummaging in one of the storage cabins. He(Cryor) is confronted by a crew member with a gun. Ziva had followed as well and comes in to save his *##@# ! She says they wanted privacy , reminded the crew member that he works for her and that they wanted 'privacy' - they begin to kiss to throw the crew member off. Later, Ziva warned Cryor (Ziva didn't know Cryor was a marine- he gave her the name- Daniel Shatuf(sp?) she did suspect, he wasn't a thief and didn't fit in with them. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Cryor later comes in to Ziva's cabin. She starts questioning who he really is- his hebrew name doesn't fit. Cryor , in turn, questions Ziva on what she is really doing. They dance around each other- trying to find out motives. He tells her if she doesn't want to give herself away- lose her jewelry. She reaches in his shirt and gets the dog tag and says, you ought to know.Back in the bull pen - McGee and Tony still fighting about the bet. a call comes in - Ben Gadonne(sp) is needing to be escorted up. Tony looks the smile and tells mcgee 'get him, I;ll get Gibbs' . Vance- back with Ziva- questioning her relationship with Cryor and why he cashed out of the core. Gibbs faces Ben (Mossad) he is there for Ziva. Gibbs reminds him they rescued Ziva. Ben said; yes but I'm here to rescue Ziva from you Back to .....Vance and Gibbs talking in Vance's office. Gibbs informed him that the agent was there to get Ziva and she was not to talk to NCIS that she would be in violation of Israeli law. Gibbs said fine- let him put something on the table(ben) - give him rope to hang himself with it. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Next Scene- Tony comes into the conf. room to get in the face of 'ben' . Tony states he wants to treat his company as he was treated when he was in Israel. Drinks in front of him- maybe should have offered him some tea-coffee- but didn't . Gibbs calls Tony and tells him to bring the agent to the interrogation room to Ziva. vance is there instead. Vance tells the agent he is just a messenger and he needs to know what happened on that ship and the officer. Ben said I will tell you and Ziva goes free. Next scene back on the ship- Ben is not trusting anyone on the ship- not the captain- not anyone. He is going to change plans. "any means necessary" Ziva sees Cryor sliding into a storage unit and he is trying to make a call with a wireless phone. she hides- the scene stops and goes to: McGee and Abby looking through the evidence. Abby suggests going through all the evidence not looking for just one thing. They are 'team Ziva' and need to help her and gives McGee high five for positive energy. Abby said GIbbs isn't acting like he is on team Ziva. Ducky approaches Ziva to talk- Ziva said she needs an escort and pointed toward Tony. Ducky agrees- takes ziva in the lab and shuts the door on Tony. Ducky tells Ziva she is a friend -to trust them as they trust her. before anything else and sits her down the skeletal remains and started giving her names of the dead. He said she needs to let go of the truth to set her free. back to interrogation. Ben is telling Vance they were compromised - shots were fired- ben and Ziva are alone and load up with guns. They were to take 'everyone' . The shooting began..... At the same time Ziva is recanting to Ducky the real story - .Lastly the Captain and his top man. Ben shot the man. The captain was pointing a gun at Ziva- Cryor shot the Captain. Ben shot the marine in the head. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Vance is back in his office with Gibbssays Ziva knew he was a marine and shot him- she is done with NCIS Gibbs wants to give Ziva a chance to deny it. Are you ready to play bad cop, he asks Gibbs? Gibbs says, "you were playing good cop all this time, Leon?" Back in interrogation, Ben warns Ziva to be quiet he will handle it. Ziva says, I have nothing to say to you. Tony doesn't like that Ziva is getting the thumbscrews with Vance and Gibbs Ducky walks through the elevator with evidence of cause of death. multiple with 9 MMs gunshot wounds , single lg caliber gunshot wound in cryor. but they don't have the slugs that killed Cryor. abby finds only 3 slugs but no tissue on them. Abby said no residue on them. So they were total misses at close range. How could Ben's shot been off unless something threw his aim off. Abby had to get a 'umsmooshed 45 slug" Gibbs' turn- slams Ben in the shoulder , asks whats wrong with his shoulder? Gibbs tells Ziva Ben says that Ziva shot Ben Gibbs tells the real story- Ziva asks Cryor if he betrayed them. He said if he had why did'nt he pull the trigger right now- Ben shot Cryor- Ziva shot Ben. Gibbs showed the bullet to Ben and said this bullet killed a U.S. Marine- he killed a U.S. Marine and that he,(Ben) was sent to burn Ziva. Ziva asked if Ben was following orders. He woudn't answer Gibbs sits down by Ziva and states- Ziva your father is not a good guy- he is dirty. Ziva looks at Ben and said you could not say no to him, not a second time. Gibbs told Ben to get out and to tell Eli to stay away 'she is off limits' Ben looked at Ziva and said , I failed you. Ziva looked up at him and said , "never apologize, its a sign of weakness" 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I loved this episode! I wasn't sure if they were going to get back to happened with Ziva or not. I'm glad they did. And it helps to understand better what's going on between Ziva and Eli, too.Man, its good to be back (speaking for myself - I've had very serious PC hardware problems for a long time.) Gibbs- we aren't done- finish it. Ziva said ' we had a mission- we had to finish it at any cost" she recalls coming into port at Mogadishu, somalia. She asked Ben what her father said. She asks does he know the men are all wounded. She questioned who Cryor was. He said it didn't matter, he was a leak that needed to be plugged. She told Ben she needed to finish the mission on her own- he was wounded. Ziva said it was her choice to go alone. She killed a Currier after forcing him to take her to the terrorist camp. She was later over powered She had nothing but 'death in her heart' . Gibbs explains she had no choice. She was raised by Eli to be a ruthless, soul less killer. She told Gibbs, "I did not mean to live through it" YOu didn't- Gibbs stated- that part of you died out there. Ziva told Gibbs, I'm sorry. He then whispered something in her ear and warmly kissed her temple. Ziva began to cry- but with a smile. Vance back in the office- trying to console Eri and told him he was his Ali but Ziva has chosen to stay with Gibbs . vance promised he would continue to deal with Gibbs. All of this conversation was with Gibbs in Vance's office and sitting near him. The both agreed it was a good ploy. McGee asked how tony thought of the make believe slug so fast. It came to McGee that Tony created the virus on McGee's computer. so Tony violated the wager. No one would do the work for the other- the threw it on Ziva's desk in front of her. Gibbs comes in the room at that time and throws a piece of paper at Ziva telling her she was accepted. He states: " get to work.......Probie" Last shot-----a very happy Ziva!! look at all these misspellings and type errors! I stink!! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I think he may have told her she was like a daughter to him or something similar.Simply becuase she told him that he was like a father to her, and the bit where Ducky told Gibbs 'You know there are other kinds of love besides tuff love?' and how protecitve he got like saying she was 'off limit', etc. 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
