Jeannes Ex Boyfriend

I have only been watching NCIS for the past couple months. I was all over the place in the beginning watching all the episodes and the marathons trying to get everything straight. I am doing fairly good now. I have a question though. When you see Jeannes ex bf on her laptop it looks like John the FBI agent that got killed when he was on stakeout with Tony. Is it or not?

It is, but none of them ever realize it. Thinking it through, if he had lived, Tony's cover could've easily been blown.

Thank you. I saw that episode twice. The first time I thought it and the second time I was more convinced. But Tony was in the room with John when he was telling Jeanne he loved her so that made me think again.

Anyone notice that while dating they would've been John and Jeanne? Makes me chuckle, since not everyone softens Jeanne's 'J' as it should be. Do you find this valuable? |

"That's an interesting point--I've seen that episode ("Friends and Lovers") a few times now, and it never occurred to me that Tony's cover could have been blown. It's a good thing he and John never got to the "naming names" stage. I do always feel a twinge at the end, when Jeanne gets the email from John saying that he "understands" now that she has moved on, when there's the computer prompt "Do you want to delete this message?" and she does it. We know that John is dead, and she's erasing what can never be recovered, but Jeanne doesn't know. It's very poignant. I couldn't help feeling some sympathy for Jeanne then, because she doesn't know that her relationship with Tony is built on a deception--in just a little while, Jeanne will wind up with nothing but heartache. Do you find this valuable? |

Yes it is John, he is a cop from the episode "Friends and lovers" ^.^

"I have also wondered if John ever overheard Tony say, "I love you, Jeanne" when they were in such close quarters in the surveillance van. And if John were really stalking Jeanne, wouldn't he have recognized Tony? John never acted like he made the connection between Tony and Jeanne (and vice versa, although Tony presumably didn't have any info like John might have had). "John and Jeanne" -- you could just imagine that household had they gotten back together. (I wasn't caling you, I was calling him!) Do you find this valuable? |
