Agent Lee is dead, and yes, Gibbs did kill her...once she made it clear to him that she wanted him to kill her so that the villian could also be killed. The episode is titled "Dagger" in Season 6.

On YouTube is a vid of the shootout on the bus from "Dagger". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XgUINp37yA
Accompanying it is a comments thread, on which someone claims that, in an interview, Liza Lapira said the whole "mole" story arc was something she herself suggested would make for a good set of episodes as far back as season 4. Can anyone corroborate this claim? I know there's a featurette about this particular storyline as part of the Season 6 DVD box set. Is this where she says this? Or is the poster simply misinformed.

Now, I'm going to pose another question related to deceased Special Agent Michelle Lee. Vance said it at the end of the episode before he inquired about "Domino." Is she a hero or a villain, or both? I want to say villain because three lives were lost becuase of her actions, but at the same time, she's a hero because when she realized that her dying was the only way to stop the bad guy, she gave an injured Gibbs the ok to fire the kill shots. I'm kinda torn between the two....so I'd have to say both. What say you? 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Both. Except she never chose to be a villain, feeling she had no choice but to do what she did. Though of course she did have a choice, she was just too scared to say anything in case it got back to her controller. Also, she didn't feel she could confide in Gibbs, because she was not blind to the fact that he had a very VERY low opinion of her as a field agent, a lawyer and a person. I'm not saying it was Gibbs' fault, it's just that they just rubbed each other up the wrong way so much that, with hindsight, he was always going to wind up killing her.
Perhaps the greatest tragedy of all is not that she was a fundamentally good person forced to act against everything she believed in to keep a loved one alive, but that her shaky relationship with Gibbs would be resolved in this way, with them only seeing eye to eye with her death.

A lot of people , I've found, disliked Michelle. But, there was a lot to like, if you were only prepared to look hard enough.
So, rest in peace Agent Lee. Some of us, who got what you were about, still miss you.
