Abby arrested should have been done differently...

I'm new to the Wiki, so thought I'd chime in with my two cents worth. First, I know that the scripts have characters doing things that wouldn't happen in real life, because they have to be able to move the plot along...but I thought this was poorly handled.Everyone suspects Lee is the mole. We, the audience, *know * she is the mole. So they're trying to set up a situation (so very Mission Impossible - the original, not the crap movies) where she's allowed out of the building... But, since she also *knows* she is the mole, wouldn't she have been suspicious if Abby was arrested, and went away so quietly? Especially since Vance had been going down the line and t hen skipped to her? Abby should have looked incredulous and said, "Hey, wait a minute.. what's going on here" and protested her innocence - plus given Gibbs and the others a chance to look at her disapointedly as if she'd let them down. Do you find this valuable?

No she wouldn't be suspicious. She doesn't know who her handler is. As far as she is aware her handler could very well be Abby.

Abby had to act guilty, Lee had to believe that everyone thought she was guilty too. Lee had to think she was in the clear. I do think it should've been done differently in another way- if anyone watching was to believe Abby was guilty they shouldnt have done it how they did- theres no way Gibbs would let Abby be arrested for real. He would've protested if she was really suspected- he trusts her as much as she trusts him.

"I do think it should've been done differently in another way- if anyone watching was to believe Abby was guilty they shouldnt have done it how they did- theres no way Gibbs would let Abby be arrested for real.
