Apparently it must be harder for some people than others.

Since Gibbs left I think this has been like a continuing arc in the backs of the minds of the producers and writers...a growth pattern for DiNozzo.

Or at least, looking back, it seems that way.

Wow that is such a good point! At first after the show I felt a bit of dissapointment for several reasons, the biggest was two weeks of expectations.

But Ziva, of course, cannot give and try to show her feelings forever. You can't balance on the edge of a cliff forever when you never know someone is going to catch you. Sometimes you have to take a step back, if only to catch your breath. At first I thought she was rude. Rubbing the salt in Tony's wounds, I really didn't like it. But what if she was just insensitive or trying to distance herself from Tony? Plus; the testing and trying seems natural for both characters. Sexual tension is one, but a Mossad agent and an agent who was deeply hurt, not once but at least twice won't jump into a relationship just like that.

I still don't like what Ziva did. 'just insensitive' doesn't fit the way Ziva changed lately. We even saw her tears again, as did Tony. So it was either not-so-well written, or there was a purpose. I first thought it was the first, but maybe Tiva went from playfull tension-state to wanting to know-eachothers-character-state? History, frame of mind? In a way, there's even more tension to that.

Distancing herself would be my guess.

One can only take so many slams before stepping back.

Just had a thought about this episode and Tony's reasons for leaving Philly PD...do you think Kemp and wife might have been the extenuating circumstances that made him move to Baltimore? Do you find this valuable?
