"Also wanted to add that I loved how Gibbs put up Langer's picture up on the wall of agents who had fallen in the line of duty at the end....it was like his own confimation that Langer was innocent and his suspicion of Lee."yes... that was really great.. its most definitely put to rest any suspicion he might still have about Langer. good seguay into the John Mellencamp tune as well. and also the fact that it was Remembrance Day yesterday... so it was a nice touch all the way around. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. "good question... I was about to ask that too."It has to be a regular enough haunt for Gibbs for the barman to note, somewhat surprised, that he is alone. Presumably it is an NCIS watering hole near the HQ, and sufficiently visited by NCIS agents for it to be their "home pub" and have the informal wall of honour. (like some pubs are for a particular footy team or cricket team). But it is not the swanky watering hole that the Giblets and Ducky prefer. It is an old school pub, with neon lights advertising stuff. And given that Gibbs has bourbon at home, we must assume it is a one-off device to allow Gibbs to show, not tell, that he is regretting not trusting his instincts over Langer. (and not doing a proper crime scence investigation of Langer's death which was a rather obvious lapse in procedure. When did Gibbs start taking one person's word as true, especially when it is the word of a lawyer?) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I am also sure that Gibbs is on agent Lee and feels bad for Langer. And it was kind of cute and fatherly to see himself to Tony .... i liked that episode ... BUT where was Kate's picture on that wall??? 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I figured that this was a personal haunt of Gibbs... and maybe the Giblets aren't even in the loop about this place... I just hadn't seen it before, so I was wondering if this was a 'fixture" of the show or something new that has been added and perhaps just for this specific episode. Do you find this valuable? |

"Yes where was Kate's Pic on the wall...went back and re watched epi...and she was not on the wall....?"dunno? i thought that, the writers must have not thought it was relevent. They are different writers or producers from season 2. it was sweet with Cassidy though! Do you find this valuable? |

Given the official story it would be inappropriate to put her photo on an Honor Wall. As far as everyone knows, apart from Vance, Gibbs and the Team, she didn't die in the line of duty. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Yes where was Kate's Pic on the wall...went back and re watched epi...and she was not on the wall....?"good point on kate! i didn't even think of that! well, the wall stretched out of the camera shot...i will just pretend kate's picture (and maybe even jenny's, even though she didnt officially die in the line of duty) is somewhere up there too. maybe this is a bar gibbs goes to with tobias or ducky or some of the other older agents...like hoorooblue said, it isnt the type of place the "younger crowd" hangs out in. or maybe gibbs takes his mysterious red-headed dates there! *grin* obviously a place nearby ncis and maybe other fed agencies/police stations, and frequented by law enforcement types, as it has that "line of duty" wall. agree w/ margyw and hoorooblue...vance and/or gibbs should have investigated the langer shooting more thoroughly (i'm sure they examined the crime scene but if it supported lee's statement...they may have been stuck)...but as next week's preview shows, maybe vance HAS been investigating it behind the scenes--hence the gathering of the agents and the "there is a traitor in this room" statement. obviously, vance (and now gibbs) suspect/know that langer wasnt the mole (or maybe they think not the only mole) because they are taking decisive action next week--probably after more weeks of investigation and finding more evidence. "I have just got caught up on what is going on here and on other sites about last nights story.i liked the story with Dwayne too. wonder if he will be back, but it looks like probably not, if he is off to FLETC, which takes a good bit of time to complete. I had the same thought about whether the agent who helped his dad was gibbs--but gibbs was not in vietnam, as either marine or ncis (previous episode in season one or two, gibbs talking to old director before jenny and makes comment that he was not old enough to have served in vietnam). i suppose it could have been franks--no idea when franks started working for nis/ncis) but that would be an interesting connection! i always like eps with franks--hope he is back again this year! About Gibbs being the agent in Dwayne's story....I'm more likely to think it was Franks, since gibbs served in Dessert storm, and was too young to have served in Vietnam. For those who know, What does FLETC stand for.....I'm assuming it's a type or training course all wannabe ncis agents have to go through... Do you find this valuable? |

"(and maybe even jenny's, even though she didnt officially die in the line of duty) is somewhere up there too. "Keep in mind that on paper, Jenny died in the fire at her house (due to smoke inhalation, end of Judgement Day), so as to cover up that she had been killed in action. So officially, line of duty had nothing to do with it, hence why her picture isn't on the wall. Also, to whoever mentioned that Dwayne might be talking about Mike Franks as the NIS agent who exonerated his father, it's good to know I'm not along. Reading through here, I originally got the feeling that I was the only one to get that vibe. Do you find this valuable? |
