"If they are close friends with Abbey, they have got to be very special people, not your regular JOE"I think I missed something. To whom are you referring? 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

As a matter of fact, when someone asks me what state I live in, I tell them "The state of confusion" :-) 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

My dear Abbiefan1... Your not confused. Whenever someone tells you that just answer:"No thanks, I just had a banana". Watch for the look on their faces. My brother told me that one. So, the object of is to really confuse the other person. lol To really let you know my personality... In college taking my medical courses.. Halloween time I took the skeleton, painted hair on his skull, put a cool pair of sun glasses on him and carried him from class to class telling each professor.. he wanted to sit in on todays forum. My physology teacher loved me. lol. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

To Appreciator: In a twisted sort of way, it's kind of comforting to see that I'm not the only one who has a tiny brain fart trying to do something quite simple to do at this site (LOL).To Abbiefan1: I think we're neighbors! I live in the state right next to yours called the State of Frustration. How's your weather over there in the State of Confusion? Here, it has been one black storm after another for over a month, but the sun will shine again soon *smile*. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Right now it is quite stormy. The remnants of Tropical Storm Fay have brought copious amounts of rain to the area. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Abbiefan1.. I saw Fay making her rounds. I do feel so sorry for those who got it straight in the face from her awesome power. Mother Nature is a very strict woman. I hope you are ok. Please be careful!!!

Hope it stays that way. I just feel sorry for those folks just getting over this, and now they may have to contend with Gustav. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Gustav will not be welcomed. It is hard enough to get through one disaster (all the flooding and damage), I cannot imagine our all their hearts feel, including yours!!!. I hope FEMA is down there with their heads on straight. I saw the May of New Orleans and it sounds like he is putting his foot down and trying his "darnest" to help everyone. With you in spirit.

I just hope Gustav leaves New Orleans alone!!! And eastern Louisiana too! They are STILL trying to recover from Katrina and don't need a major setback another storm will give them.

I am not in the projected path of Gustav, but could be impacted my Hannah if that one gets it's act together. Hurricanes are nasty things, but at least unlike earthquakes or tornadoes, you can get to safety in most cases before they hit. Due to several factors, New Orleans was caught flat footed by Katrina and being below sea level didn't help matters at all. I live on high ground so flooding is not a problem. I was however stranded when Floyd came through. We were like an island and could not go anywhere for days. My hopes and prayers are for those in peril. Do you find this valuable? |

Watching the news today... I must say that the Governmental Agencies are truly handling all the people who live there much better... reminding them that they absolutely must get out of town and if they don't and are seen looting and robbing... they almost came right out and said they would shoot to kill. They are not taking chances this time... this is a good thing
