McGee's personality evolving
Hey guys;
Now, this isn't necessarily a negative comment, so please don't take it so, and I'm sure this would have been discussed a while back. Just a little observation.
I've been watching episodes here and there, perhaps about six chosen at random for each season, so I'm quickly getting through the series this way (I have seen every episode from 1-6, though, and a few after that) and noticing the way McGee has developed. He has become much stronger after he was the hostage in the episode at the women's prison. He took on some of Gibbs' qualities, in a way - which is what happens when people know and respect each other. But I don't know how I feel about the 'stronger personality' McGee.
I like that he can stand up for himself and so on, but a part of me is really attached to the unsure probie of the earlier seasons! His crush on Abby and not quite being able to express it was really sweet (though I know she had a sibling love for him and it couldn't work) and his sensitivity in juxtaposition with Tony's attitude worked really well.
I understand why it had to happen, but still...
Thoughts?
