  • Season 9 Low in Viewers I've just read that Season 9 of NCIS is low viewers, and I'm wondering if that's because new is really happening. Admittedly, I haven't been watching the last few episodes, but that's because I'm waiting for an episode for McGee. He's one of my favorite characters from the show and I've noticed lately that he's not growing as a character. He's not getting that same depth that all the other's have.
McGee (Sean Murray) has been a part of NCIS since Season 1, yet all we've learned about him is that his dad is in the Navy and they haven't spoken in 7 years and he has a younger sister and a grandmother, that he crashed his car when he was 16, and that he graduated from MIT. We've learned nothing about his mother, or anything about his life before NCIS, as we have with practically every other character in the show.
I think if the writers of NCIS started to include more about McGee, the view rating may start to rise again, because, really, who isn't interested in learning about McGee's past?
