The Second Harmonic Convergence

The occurrence of yet another Post-Harmonic shark-jumping incident was seen as a clear indication of another inevitable Harmonic Convergence. This time, however, the Convergence appeared to be much more highly localized, centered around a Nominal Convergence Integration Site (NCIS) and catalyzed by a certain Special Agent in Charge. By the end of the first decade of the 21st Century, this Second Harmonic Convergence had already eclipsed the amplitude of the 1986 Convergence, and was continuing to crest with paradigm- shifting results...

Mark earns an Emmy for his portrayal of Secret Service Agent Simon Donovan, assigned to protect C.J. Cregg on The West Wing. Simon is killed in the powerful and haunting season finale... and just like that, yet another great series jumps the shark.

Mark isn't exactly cast against type when he takes on the role of the nice, handsome, likable boyfriend of Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday. But the real story of the year involves his 2-episode appearance on a military investigation series called JAG...

Mark finally dons the cap and jacket that will endear him to more than 20 million devoted fans. As Special Agent Jethro Gibbs, Mark leads the CBS ratings juggernaut NCIS through seven seasons of drama balanced with good humor and great character.

And finally, in what seems like an inevitable casting choice, Mark lends his heroic, all-American voice to yet another all-American icon – Superman himself – in the upcoming animated film Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.
