Q: OK I'll start us off, does anyone know what Gibbs coffee cup say, I know it's a Starbucks cup, but I'm sure it doesn't say Starbuck???? thx A: The prod used the Starbucks' pic to create Gibbs' coffee but Gibbs' coffee cup is just for the show the trademark doesn't really exist :) like Abby's caf' pow. A: Gibbs' coffee cups say "Hot Fresh Coffee" with a photo of a coffee mug in the middle. A: It's just a printed lable that they put on there... not a real coffee type. Q2: Wonder if there were originally ideas of a product placement deal with Starbucks? Or is this just a tease, is it Starbucks, or not? [In Enigma that I'm re-watching right now, Fornell brings drinks and pastries from Panera Bread. So I guess that deal went through.]] A: There was a "Moe's" bag at a crime scene in an early episode. [Moe's is a southwestern grill where they make your food in front of you like a "subway" or "quizno's"] Q3: I have seen some other types of coffee cups used on the show. Any other neat jokes like the Hot Fresh Coffee?
Q: Where can we find the Red USMC sweat? A: Try online. There are a large number of suppliers of USMC and Navy clothing online. Just Google USMC Clothing for a list of websites. A: Ebay used to have one just like it. Not sure if it's still there but you can check. BUT... No way to buy when you live outside US!! rrrrrrrr Maybe I didn't visit the good link :/ If you are out side the US you can always use a Mail Forwarding company. Where? How? Q: In one of the episodes in season 1 called ...... why does Tony know Spanish if he is Italian? A: Tony's of Italian descent hence the surname, however, a lot of Americans learn Spanish as a second language, particularly those living in the State of California given the closeness of the Mexican border. Furthermore, Tony is a fictitious character, so his knowledge of Spanish is something decided by the scriptwriters' likewise Gibbs' knowledge of Russian and ASL. Also, Tony has been in law enforcement for several years, generally working in large cities, so it's not at all unusual for him to know quite a bit of Spanish. Plus, his family is supposed to be wealthy, so maybe they travelled a lot. Or he could have just studied Spanish for several years. I have a cousin who studied Spanish in high school and vacationed a few times in Spanish-speaking countries, then moved to Texas after college to teach school. With her previous study of the language and daily immersion, she was fluent within a year.
