Now as our intrepid characters often cross the line of what's right and wrong in the pursuit of criminals I thought it would be a good idea to give them a chance to turn over a new leaf with the New Year - so about some New Year's Resolutions for our favourite characters.

I promise I will:
- Play nicely with others, apart from Leon.
- Try to smile more often.
- Show more affection to others as I do to Abby....even if they do piss me off.
- Think about saying "please" again, at least once next year.
- Reveal more rules. - Maybe a few before they're broken.
- I promise I will never marry another red-headed woman.
- Wear my glasses more often.
- Drink a little less coffee.
- Visit my father and hug him more often.
- I can't promise I will anything, it's just not in my vocabulary!
- Leave flowers at my families grave site.
- Find a new love interest.
- Get a better barber
I promise I won't:
- Headslap DiNozzo more than once a day.
- Piss off Sec Nav (too badly).
- Mock DiNozzo every time he makes a movie quote.
- Sleep with anyone who I might marry and then divorce, name my next boat after, or might end up dead.
- Ignore an order.
- Tell anyone to stick it.
- Let Fornell/Sacks frame Tony for murder or any other crime again.
- Go out with potential suspects.
- Steal anymore bodies from Duck, nor will I advise my team to do so.
- Cut my hair myself
- Burn anymore boats

- Be less chauvinistic in my attitude towards women.
- My girlfriends will last longer than 2 weeks, i.e. 3.
- Be as charming but more mature....maybe ..... I'll have to get back to you on that one.
- Make the boss proud of me.
- Try to be less afraid of rats.
- Not freak out if Ziva kisses me and kiss her back... or maybe I'll just kiss her. Yeah.
I promise I won't:
- Take pictures up Abby's skirt to check out her new tattoo.
- Complain about Ziva's driving.
- Be as big a brat to Ziva ......as often.
- Yell at Gibbs until I have all the facts.
- Pull as many strikes or call McGee as many names as I used to.
- Open up anymore unmarked mail.
- Make fun of Gibbs' life and old age.
- Buy lingerie for women's birthdays.
- Engage in behavior that is 'red light' or whatever is after that, when Ziva kisses me... if...
- Make fun of Gibbs' haircut
- Kiss another guy
- Snoop around Ziva's stuff...unless it might save her life.

I promise I will:
- Wear skirts a bit longer, maybe half a centimetre.
- Try to talk in plain English for Gibbs and Tony.
- Stop farting as loud as Bert can.
- Produce results quicker for the silver fox.
- Wear boots that don't hurt my feet quite as much.
I promise I won't:
- Hit McGee unless he ignores me.
- Overdose on Caf-Pow.
- Use sign language with Gibbs in Tony's presence.
- Hurt McGee's feelings when he steals from me.
- Call Director Vance "Leon".

- Try to get up enough gumption to stand up to Gibbs and Tony.
- Use bigger words than Tony.
- Try to come up with as many nicknames for Tony as he has for me.
- Parody Vance as the baddie in my next novel.
I promise I won't:
- Ignore Abby.
- Steal any more cupcakes from Abby.
- Let Tony's remarks get to me.
- Call Vance "boss."

I promise I will:
- Study English idioms harder.
- Try to drive more slowly.
- Let Abby hug me.
- Be a little more open about my life .. just enough so the fans don't get too rowdy.
- Kiss Tony to see what it's like.
I promise I won't:
- Threaten to kill Tony with a paper clip, or act on any of my previous threats.
- Tease Tony about his lack of maturity.
- Fall in love with inappropriate people... although it could be too late.
- Slap Abby.
- Kill Tony if he kisses me back or sticks his tongue in.

I promise I will:
- Try not to bore the pants off everyone with my stories, except Palmer, because that's what he's here for.
- Wash my hands more thoroughly after autopsies so as not to cause any more dysentery outbreaks.
- Keep my stories shorter....... although I find it rather difficult to not want to give all the facts.....After all a story isn't a story without all the information....that brings to mind I must remember to tell jimmy a fact I found out about being short...Its really quiet...........
I promise I won't:
- Marry off my mother.
- Matchmake for Jethro.
- Talk to any more corpses.

- Be more careful in selecting girlfriends.
- Smile and be more understanding of Ducky's waffling.
I promise I won't:
- Make out with double agents any longer, under Ducky's nose, or anywhere else.
- Wreck anymore cars, and let anyone point a gun at me.
- Get myself and Dr.Mallard lost again on the way to a crime scene

- Clean my teeth more often instead of picking at them.
- Smile more.
- Trust Gibbs and his team more.
I promise I won't:
- Swallow my toothpicks that I have constantly in my mouth.
- Shred anymore legal papers ... er I mean illegal papers.....well, you don't need to know.
- Give McGee another toothpick.
- Show McGee up for cyber work.

I promise I will:
- Try to be right about the team before I'm so wrong about myself.
- Listen to Gibbs' gut at all times (okay, maybe once I will).
I promise I won't:
- Take over NCIS operations/crime scenes.
- Investigate any more of Gibbs team members, I'm always wrong anyway.
- Frame DiNutso for murder again (well, I'll try not to).
- Marry anymore of Gibbs' ex-wives.
