WHY YOU DIDN'T LIKE JEANNE BENOIT
5th January 2010
I got a lot of response to my blog about Jeanne Benoit, so I felt it warranted a second look.
Jeanne Benoit has the distinction, jointly with Hollis Mann, of being the least liked character ever created for NCIS. People were enthusiastic in coming forward to explain just why they did not like Ms Benoit.
Yichelle pointed out just how self centered the character was. Everything had to revolve around Jeanne. If Tony said anything to the contrary, allusions were made as to how he didn't love her. She had to have been every man's worst nightmare!
Probie007 pointed out that as a couple they totally lacked chemistry. If Tony hadn't have been undercover with instructions to get close to Jeanne, it wouldn't have gone past the first date stage.
Scorpio-lady summed it up very well: "She was irritating in the extreme, and so wrong for Tony that she was totally unlikeable." and "What I was never able to understand, throughout the entire mess, was what Tony saw in her that he could fall in love with. She was a mess! But, it sure opened up and new and different side to Tony. Not everything has to end well for it to be the right thing."

LEAST FAVORITE EPISODES OF SEASON 5 REVISITED
4th January 2010
I thought today I would take a look at the responses I got to my least favorite episodes of season 5.
- Requiem. There were nearly as many people disliked this episode as liked it. Mona92 really summed it up: "...there was too much playing on one's heart strings - the whole rescuing was a bit overboard. Tony's just on time to rescue two people out of a car. The authors for sure wanted to show how much he admires Gibbs. But I think it's unrealistic."
- In The Zone. Not liked because of the lack of unity amongst the team, with Tony being in Baghdad with Nikki Jardine. The plot for this episode was also pretty weak.
- Designated Target. Not liked because the general opinion was that both Tony and Ziva were out of character. There were also comments about the episode being deeply boring.
- Recoil. This would have to be THE least favorite episode of season 5. Most comments were on Tony's jealous, downright nasty behavior. A couple of fans have commented that they do not watch this episode when rewatching season 5 on DVD. Cassierules did suggest that Tony's behavior could have been altered with the application of Gibbs' ex-wife's seven iron to Tony's head. As the headslaps obviously haven't worked, maybe a golf club would!
Once again, thank you to everyone who took part in the original discussions.

SUBMITTED BY MargyWNCIS FAN ART
4th January
In my New Year Eve's blog entry, I mentioned something about trying not to soapbox or sermonise this year, but unfortunately it's the only way at times.
I have already sent a PM about this today, but since not everyone reads their PMs, I decide to make the topic a blog entry.
As you are no doubt aware many members on this site create fan art based on the actors of NCIS in their roles or as themselves. These pieces of art take time and effort, however, basic they may seem. I've only recently started dabbling in this area myself and therefore I know how long it takes. Whilst the vast majority of people ask permission before using and crediting, there are still some who unwittingly (I'm going to believe ignorance here) use or even alter the artwork in some way, albeit the title or description thereof without asking permission beforehand and much less crediting. This is a violation of copyright and upsetting for the creator of said artwork.
So next time you see in the photogallery an icon, a banner, etc., followed by the words: by........ Please check with the creator of the same before using it anyway. The same when posting artwork made by people from other sites, please check with them first.
If you respect other people they will respect you.
Y con esto y un bizcocho se acabó lo que se dió.

LEAST FAVORITE VILLAINS OF NCIS REVISITED
2nd January 2010
Today we'll take a look at the response I got to my Least Favorite Villains blog. My least favorite villain, was, everyone else's favorite: Ari Haswari.
The villain in "Jeopardy" who held Jenny hostage and was shot by Gibbs, rated a mention. As did the guy Tony killed whilst undercover on the run in "Chained". These are merely pipsqueaks in the scheme of NCIS villains.
The villain who has been least liked throughout the history of NCIS so far is Charles "Chip" Sterling. This character was almost universally loathed. About the politest thing said about him came from Willow22, who described him as a "whiny little geek". The framing of Tony, the attack on Abby (who duct tapes him to the floor from memory), and just the fact he was possibly the most unpleasant little individual to ever appear on NCIS, has given Charles Sterling the title of Least Favorite NCIS Villain.
Thanks to everyone who responded to my original blog.
