SECNAV VISITS NCIS & ON LOCATION PHOTOS

24th October

Our favourite series is apparently popular with Ray Mabus, the real life SecNav, who visited the set on 21st October 2009, see photos and on the following page of Behind the Scenes Photos. How many series can boast a top member of the government visiting?! I think, we have another first here.

On these sames two pages, i.e. Behind the Scenes Photos 6 and 7, respectively, we also have on location photos for episode 7.06 Outlaws and Inlaws (Muse Watson appears in this episode and we also get to see inside Gibbs' house, beyond the basement) taken on 12th September 2009.

These photos are courtesy of the French site, www.team_ncis.com, which always have up-to-date info on our favourite series, particularly in terms of official photos and other info; so from here I'd like to say 'merci beaucoup' for their generosity.

GIBBS AS BOYFRIEND MATERIAL - ANOTHER LOOK

22nd October 2009

I received just about my best response ever to the original blog, so I thought we would briefly revisit the subject.

Many fans thought that the successive wives simply did not understand Gibbs. What drives him and what haunts him, and as such, ended up being unable to deal with him. This mirrors reality. In many instances the second spouses of widowers or widows find that they are sharing their marriage with a ghost and are unable to cope with it. Which is odd, if you stop to think about it. The deceased is not a threat to the marriage. Accept, adapt, comprise and move on together.

The consensus appears to be that Gibbs would make a fantastic friend, but not a long term boyfriend. As mcseek put it: "The only way for Gibbs to be a great partner would be if you were his first love - having lost that with Shannon, he's done - too many ghosts, guilt, and baggage. He's a great guy, a wonderful friend, but a boyfriend - no way - too committed to his job, too committed to his rage!"

PRENSA ESPAÑOLA Y NAVY CIS

22nd October

GOBSMACKED!!!

21st October

Why am I gobsmacked you might ask? Well, our intrepid team has done it again this week, another first on the Nielsen rating, and again over the 20 million viewer mark. 5 weeks on the trot, this is quite a milestone to say the least, not only for being Nº 1, 5 weeks in a row but not once have viewing figures dropped below the 20 million mark. To say their rivals have been left K.O. is putting it mildly.

Oh! And a minor correction to my entry yesterday when I said 2 press articles had come out on 20th October, well I was wrong, I discovered a 3rd this morning, which I've posted on the site again for those of you who don't feel like clicking on the link to the original site. It's a Q&A interview with Cote de Pablo about NCIS and its success, etc.

We're still on S6 here in the Spanish State, but confess I'm on tenterhooks in anticipation of viewing S7 given these figures.

I trust the powers that be at Belisarius Productions and the cast are not resting on their laurels with this succcess, but are continuing to work the same intensity they have to date, and have not fallen into complacency. If anything I should hope they are striving harder to do even better week after week to prove this is real and not just some beginning of the season flash in the pan success.

I, for one, expect to see the series Nº 1 again next week, and with over 20 million viewers, which is no chicken feed, as I mentioned in a previous blog, this like half the Spanish population!
