UN POCO DE TODO COMO EN BOTICA = +/- ODDS AND SODS
19th October
Yesterday I skived off, essentially because I was under mouse arrest, so today I shall endeavour to make amends with bits and pieces from here and there.
First off, click HERE and you will get to hear tracks from NCIS Official Soundtrack Vol. 2, including Michael Weatherly's specially recorded track 'Bitter and Blues'.
Yesterday (Sunday 18th October 2009) Pauley Perrette and Daniela Ruah (Kensi on NCIS: Los Angeles) took part in the 25th Annual Walk in Los Angeles in favour of APLA (Aids Project Los Angeles), and you will find photos of the girls on their respective sites Pauley Perrette Fan Site and NCIS: Los Angeles Fan Site. I'll get some uploaded here too within the next few days.
No doubt you have all noticed that now NCIS has been Nº 1 in the Nielsen ratings since Season 7 started, not to mention knocking the spots off any competition, the press is now interested in the series, and as such articles are coming out one after the other. Click HERE and you can either read the articles on this site or go direct to the original site of publication. Not all have been copied here, although most have.
Maybe some of you like to keep tabs on the ratings, if so, click HERE because I set up this page so we could follow the series evolution this season; and this particularly article gives you a lowdown on how the series has evolved since it started - click HERE for said article.
Well I think that about wraps up today's blog, not much creativity although plenty of information for you to stay up-to-date on your favourite series. Thanks for taking the time out to read.

JIMMY PALMER AS BOYFRIEND MATERIAL
18th October 2009
As part of my on going series of blogs, today I thought I'd look at Jimmy Palmer as possible boyfriend material.
Young, boyish, kind of cute and with a steady job, at first glance Jimmy is ideal long term boyfriend material. But is he really?
Our Jimmy is a strange little individual. For a start, his job as assistant to the Medical Examiner is a little strange. How many of us could cope with our partner spending his days with dead people? Mind you, with Palmer, this would be the least of your worries.
Then there is his shoe fetish. Taking him to the Mall with you would be an exercise in disaster. Trying to keep him from drooling through the windows of shoe stores would be embarrassing to say the least!
Add to this is his proclivity for sexual activity in semi public places, as witnessed by his relationship with Special Agent Michelle Lee. Maybe not such crash hot boyfriend material after all.
However, I think Jimmy would make a sweet and loyal friend. Just don't let him anywhere near your shoe closet!

SEASON 2 PERSONAL LOW POINTS
17th October 2009
Last week I looked at my personal highpoints of season 2. Now it's time to take a look at my personal lows of the season.
- Tony chained to a murder and on the run. Probably one of the weakest plots of season 2. I disliked the entire episode. To the point where I very rarely rewatch that episode when having a DVD marathon.
- I found the crispy fried poodle in "Terminal Leave" vaguely disturbing.
Now that I look at it (sitting here refreshing my memory looking at the DVD covers), those two are really the only two personal low points of season 2. So it looks like today's blog is going to be extremely short.
Please let me know what your personal low points of season 2 are.

NCIS MAKES NEWS
17th October
NCIS is fast becoming a cult series as it enters its 7th year on the air. We can see the steady rise in this article, which I've cut and pasted on here. It's interesting to look back on its beginnings, where we see that in Season 1 it was in 26th position on the Nielsen ratings, slowly rising higher season after season. This constant steady rise, proves it's just not a crime series with an acronym for a name but a solid quality product, whose ratings aren't based on its characters leaping in and out of bed with different partners, unlike others.
As fans I think we're all fully aware of the quality of this product and those involved in the same, it's a prime example of how team work produces results. Mark Harmon might be the visible head of this cast but there is no diva-ism on this series, although his character is the axis it is not just about his character Jethro Gibbs, but rather it's the backbone or glue providing the support or cohesion. When you watch any episode you can feel there is both unity and continuity among the cast, even the guest and recurring actors blend into this mould.
This site is another example of this, where we have people from all around the globe with a common interest, i.e. NCIS and its cast, where we can communicate with each other not only in English but in our own languages too, without anyone being made to feel odd man out simply because English is not their mother tongue. We are also an example of consolidation and teamwork, when I look back and see how much we've grown since I joined back in September 2007, and we were just over a 1000 members, and today we're over 6100!!
I know, I tend to soapbox this, but I feel it's worth repeating given this cut-throat era where programmes are slashed shortly after they've started because they didn't obtain a certain percentage of audience share within the first few weeks of airing, so I feel this reiteration is important.
However, I shall stop here before you cut me off like Gibbs does to Ducky :-))
