Character Backstory:

Season 6:
  • First introduced in "Last Man Standing" where he is seen with Ziva during an undercover Mossad operation in Morocco. When a bomb blast goes off and Ziva is injured, Rivkin follows Ziva in the ambulance bed. He is next seen when Gibbs calls Ziva in Director David's office. He shows some sign of jealousy when Ziva says that she misses Tony.
  • In "Nine Lives", Ziva returns to Israel presumably to see Rivkin. Tony discovers the picture of Rivkin (though no name) on Ziva's desk.
  • In "Knockout", Ziva shows a picture of Rivkin to another women on her phone. Asked if the relationship was serious, Ziva replies that he doesn't live here.
  • In "Legend (Part 1)", Rivkin rings Ziva's work phone in which Tony answers. Later Tony gets his first name out of Ziva. Ziva then meets Rivkin in Washington before Rivkin goes to Los Angeles. Eli David sent him to uncover a terrorist cell in Los Angeles that has links to Saleem Ulman, a terrorist Eli David wants to kill.
  • In "Legend (Part 2)",
  • In "Semper Fidelis", Rivkin returns to Washington D.C. to stay with Ziva. He then kills a FBI agent protecting a Director's meeting, though it was later revealed that the killing was an accident. Tony finds out where Ziva and Rivkin are meeting and tricks Ziva into leaving. Tony then tells Rivkin he needs to leave the U.S. immediately. Rivkin then killed a suspect of that killing Abin Tabal and made it look like a suicide. Vance then says that Tabal killed himself because he had lost his asset of being invisible. However Abby and Tony find evidence that Tabal's laptop (being used by Rivkin) was used at Ziva's apartment. Tony then goes to Ziva's apartment and finds Rivkin. After attempting to arrest Rivkin for the murders of the agent and Tabil, they brawl and when Rivkin tries to kill Tony with a shard of glass, Tony shoots and kills Rivkin just as Ziva arrives.
  • In "Aliyah", he dies while trying to be saved by Ziva to whom he says "I'm sorry". Rivkin dies and his body is transported back to Tel Aviv.
