Mark stars as likable gym teacher Mr. Shoop in the comedy hit Summer School. In a deeply personal and emotionally revealing scene, Mark (a dog lover and lifelong peanut-butter fanatic) shares an entire jar of peanut butter (dipped in jam) with his canine costar.

Mark's role as a detective investigating a crime on a military base in The Presidio foreshadows his destiny to become NCIS Special Agent Jethro Gibbs. His first child, Sean, is born this year, and is also destined to play (a younger version of) Jethro Gibbs.
