See when Gibbs is in his basement talking to his ex-wife what's the thing on the table he's building?

I thought it was a headboard or maybe part of a cot but I'm just not sure?

Is it just me, or do this season's episodes simply not have as much week-to-week continuity as we've seen in the past?

In the opening episode, Casey Stratton killed (a presumably innocent) Simon Cade and perhaps EJ Barret, and shot Tony in the chest. Why isn't Gibbs studying faces every night like he did for Ari Haswari? Did EJ recover? Does no-one on the team care? Is Tony looking for her?

What's up with Little Orphan Abby? When she learned that she had a biological brother, she was completely distracted... and completely distraught when she realized that she herself was adopted. "I have a few things to work out", she told Gibbs. But since then she's back to her care-free, bubbly personality? What happened to Kyle, her biological brother? His kidney donation should have taken place weeks ago... did Abby visit him as he was recovering? Why hasn't she dropped a word about this topic? Has McGee done any other research? Does Gibbs not care about this?

Not a single word about McGee's grandmother? Or Ziva's vacation trip to Central America to get advice from a dear friend? Not a mention of CI-Ray since last summer, when Ziva sent an email message to him?

About the only references to previous episodes have been minor: In episode 2, Tony says he's still not feeling well after his concussion; and Ducky said he hasn't been sleeping well since we learned that his love interest was killing men in an unusual way.

Sigh... ardent fans are looking for a few more hints. Maybe we'll see something in "Engaged".
