- This is the second time we hear "they're not dead until they're warm and dead." The first was in Iced, Season 3, Episode 19, when Mr. Palmer recited it.
- Ziva is wearing the orange beanie in this episode.
- When Abby gives the restaurant receipt to Gibbs she makes a remark about the date being 3 days ago, the date is written in Arabic (Hindi) numbers on the receipt, did she use a translation program?
- When Tony calls for Jeanne, the hospital receptionist never says what the hospital's name is and only responds after Tony asks for her.
- In the episode, the driver's licence on the plasma showed Silver Springs as the city in 'AA' county. In real Life, the city is Silver Spring (singular spring, not plural springs). The 'AA' would seem to indicate Anne Arundel County, but Silver Spring is located in Montgomery County. Continuity error?
- Lauren Holly isn't in this episode, though she's in the credits.
- Frank's family shows up again in Outlaws and In-laws when the grandmother tried to get them back to Iraq.
- At the end of the episode when Gibbs hands the Qur'an to the girl, He's holding it upside down. He doesn't seem aware of the fact that Arabic books are printed opposite their English counterparts (pages open from left to right).
- This episode is the back story of 7.06 "Outlaws and InLaws."
