• Tony's codename in this episode was "Archangel".
  Michael "Archangel" Coldsmith Briggs III was the CIA-liaison agent from Stringfellow 'Huckleberry' Hawke in the TV-show "Airwolf." "Airwolf" was another show written by Donald P. Bellisario in the early 1980's. 1x19
  
  
• "La Grenouille" was played by Armand Assante. He won an Emmy Award 1997 in the category "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Special" for his role as infamous New Yorker Mafia Boss "Gotti" in the same-named movie.
  
  One of the inside jokes in this episode: Gibbs says to Jenny in the green cube truck: "La Froggie is more careful than Gotti".
  
  
• Another inside joke, during the scene in the Gulfstream:
  Gibbs asked Tony (as a solution for his crossword): T.V. drama. Eight letters down. Tony answered: "Uh… Saint Elsewhere?" Mark Harmon played one of the leading roles in this show as "Dr. Bobby Caldwell".
