Iced

Synopsis:
Gibbs and the team are called in when a couple of kids stumble upon the body of a missing Marine in a frozen lake. As the NCIS team searches the frozen lake bed for clues, they come across three more bullet-ridden bodies. During the autopsies, Ducky and Gibbs discover that the three additional victims had gang tattoos. The gang is called La Vida Mala. With this crucial piece of information, the team works to uncover the Marine's connection with a deadly street gang. Eventually they link this shooting with a drive-by a couple of months before, the reason that the Marine was with the gang in the first place, in which another Marine died. They realize that this shooting was not about revenge as they first thought, but was about power within the gang and the two Marines were killed because of an argument over control within the gang.

  • Tony in interrogation playing his video game and messing with Cesar and saying, "Name's Anthony, friends call me Tony, which backwards is "y-not"
Trivia:
  • There is a camera reflection behind Ducky's head and shoulders in the scene were Ducky is showing Gibbs the bodies for the first time in autopsy & you can see the cameraman to the left of Ducky and others to the right. It looks like ghosts floating around autopsy.
  • Abby says SMS messages are limited to 150 characters; they are limited to 160.
  • Tony backwards is ""Y-not" - both trivial and speaks to his personality.
  • The song that Ducky is humming when McGee comes into autopsy is the Old Spice theme. When asked about his after shave, McGee admits that it is Old Spice.
  • Gibbs uses the term "Bravo Foxtrot" to refer to Lance Corporal Jose Silva as an explicit insult. A synonymous term is "blue falcon." The original term is "buddy ******," for someone who doesn't care about his fellow soldiers (battle buddies). The first two letters in both terms are of course B and F, or Bravo and Foxtrot in the military phonetic alphabet.
