Boxed In

Synopsis:
While on investigation at a shipyard, looking for smuggled weapons, Tony and Ziva disappear and it's up to NCIS to find them. Abby tries to track them down by tracking down their GPS chips, but they seem to be out of reach. Meanwhile, Tony and Ziva, trapped in a container, find evidence which could help them solve the case.

New Character Development / Insights:
  • Tony was a pianist when he was much younger.
  • Tony's worst idea was challenging a date to an oyster eating contest
  • Ziva likes to cook.
  • Tony likes dark, tight spaces.
  • Tony isn't fond of the "Autopsy Gremlin" Palmer
  • This is the 1st time you see Abby really warm up to Ziva "I'm glad you're not dead."
  • Palmer can tune a piano
  • Ziva doesn't react well when Tony asks her about her father not being perfect.
Funny Moments:
  • At the end, all Ziva wanted was a ladies' loo.
  • Most of Tony's statements while in the box
  • Tony questioning Ziva about where her burn marks came from.
  • Tony finding out that he was the only one not invited to Ziva's dinner.
  • Ziva kicking the Port Security Chief in the groin
  • Ziva's friction burns
Trivia:
  • Tony's blood type is A (later proved to be A positive), Ziva's blood type is AB negative.
  • Ziva cooks Italian food as well as Cholent, also known as Hamin, a Jewish stew of Ashkenazi descent made of slow-cooked beef w/ barley, potatoes, kishke and beans. The Sephardic version uses rice instead of beans & barley, and chicken instead of beef. Both versions are absolutely delicious!
  • The DVDs in the crate Tony opens are Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, one of the most popular Bollywood hits from the 1990s. The cover of the DVD does not match the actual film, typical of bootleg films.
  • Tony has never been to Ziva's apartment.
