Caught on Tape
Synopsis:
A Marine falls off a cliff, and his camera records him falling. The prime suspects are his wife and his best friend with whom he had a picnic in the camp. Gibbs finds out they had an affair behind a dead man's back and he tries to persuade each one to blame the other. In the meantime, Abby reconstructs the case using her computer skills to handle the Marine's camera.

  • Tony was afflicted with Poison Ivy during his first year working at NCIS.
Funny Moments:
  • McGee's poison ivy, everyone's reaction to it and Ducky's treatment of it.
  • Ducky's vivid description of his mother's eating habits followed by an invitation to dinner for Mr. Palmer.
  • Abby ribs Gibbs for being behind the technological curve, tells him "peace out!"
Trivia:
  • In the morgue when McGee is taking off his dress shirt, you can see the cameraman and his camera reflected in the metal sliding door of the autopsy bay.
  • At the end when Abby and Kate are tending to the dog, in one shot it's standing on the table, and in the other it's sitting.
  • Abby's memory of Kate at her funeral in Kill Ari, Part 2 comes from this episode.
