• When Kyle hugged Gibbs in the kitchen while Gibbs got a beer for both Kyle and Abby after Abby introduced Kyle to Gibbs. Gibbs definitely looked uncomfortable.

• NCIS has lost one of their own from the armory, Midge Watkins, as result from the events of the bombing, her death was at the hands of Jon Phelps' girlfriend, Judy Ford who is the Navy facilities manager.
  
• Palmer asks for Ducky's help with Midge's autopsy after overhearing Ducky and Gibbs' conversation outside Autopsy. Later on Ducky yells at Palmer for taking pity on him.
• Vance snaps in the squadroom after Dr. Wolf
  reveals the tribal name Dr. Cranston gave Tony in the notes she gave Dr. Wolf on Gibbs and the team.
  
• Abby per Gibbs' instructions finally contacted her biological brother, Kyle, she was having recurring nightmares post-Navy Yard bombing. Kyle welcomed her with open arms, Abby got over her nightmares and fell asleep on Gibbs' couch after she introduced Kyle to Gibbs.
• McGee and Ziva request new paint for the walls at NCIS, Judy says she will see what she can do. Vance later changes his mind about changing the color of the walls at NCIS.
• Tony has been trying for some time to hook up with Judy Ford, but it is later revealed that she is involved with Jon Phelps from the Armory at the Navy Yard.
• Dr. Wolf is a colleague of Dr. Cranston's.
• Gibbs tells Ducky to go home and read a book, maybe even write a book since Ducky has yet to be cleared by his doctor to return to work.
• Craig Wilson insults Ziva while talking to Ziva and Tony in Interrogation with Vance and Gibbs watching from Observation, he called Ziva a " Feminazi" and Tony correcting Craig and somewhat defending Ziva by saying "You may not have noticed pal, but that's not a swastika hanging around my partner's neck."

• Dr. Cranston was mentioned in the episode but not seen since actress Wendy Makkena who portrays Dr. Cranston is a part of the Fox show "The Mob Doctor" per her credits on imdb.com.

• 10.03 Phoenix While on medical leave, Ducky orders the exhumation of a Navy commanders body from a case closed 12 years ago. As a result, Gibbs tasks Ducky with a slightly different role on the investigation. Meanwhile, the NCIS team investigates the recent death of a Marine. As both cases unfold, the team begins to question whether the two are somehow connected.
