I can handle stuff like what I mentioned in the thread: Kate, under duress, & obviously very angry at Ari for shooting Gerald, saying this word. I think it was handled well. It's not something you see in NCIS; there's always a reason for the language. They don't use it just to use it. They don't glorify it. And I can handle the sexual innuendos made because they're pretty vague. (Well, maybe not so vague in "Under Covers," but there was a reason for it & they're under cover as husband as wife.) I mean, sure, it's an adult show. That's fine. They just don't go over the top with stuff I avoid from other shows and that is important to me. Have I watched shows with bad bad language? Yes, I have. Mostly movies, not shows. But this is NCIS. I have expectations from this show because this show sets the bar for such high quality in everything. It does not *need* unnecessary dirty language.
Isn't it amazing at how kids behave these days? Kids learn by what they see & hear and if they're not guided properly by their parents to know the difference between bad language & acceptable language, they won't have any problem saying what they've learned. My niece, who's 12 now, would call anyone out who said a bad word. Even "stupid" was a bad word for her. Now, she's so respectful, she can't stand bad role models. She got mad at Miley Cyrus for an outfit she wore. She showed me the pic & told me, "Isn't that unacceptable?" Kids don't have to grow up being brats. Her mom monitors what she watches & listens to. She takes an active interest in her life. Our parents were the same way. It is vital. And it shows.
