The Good Samaritan
Synopsis:
A Navy dentist stops near the parked car to help a stranded motorist, who pulls out a gun. The team investigates a murder with the help from a local sheriff, Charley, when they find out about similar murders of a Navy civilian employee and a pilot who was going through a nasty divorce. They suspect the wife but she has a perfect alibi.

  • When Kate is amazed at Tony's over the shoulder shot at the trash can and wonders how he did it, he states that he was first team varsity at Ohio State.
  • When the team is inspecting the very first victim, the sheriff says he was found with no clothes on. When pictures are taken of his backside, this appears to be the case. However, when they roll the body over to look at the front, you can see the nude-colored underwear on the body that would be necessary for modesty's sake.
  • Among the lunch boxes show in the home of the victim, you can see ones for "Magnum Pi, Airwolf" and "Quantum Leap;" all shows created by Donald P. Bellisario.
  • One character mentions another character had a very successful grandfather who made his fortune importing the first Swiss Army Knives in to the US. In real life, it was series co-star Michael Weatherly's father, Michael Weatherly Sr., who made a fortune bringing the first Swiss Army Knives in to the US.

        Totally random but I've just been watching this episode and at the 34 minute mark I noticed that one of Gibb's computer monitors is running the SETI@home screensaver. Has Gibbs ever said he's interested in astronomy or do you think they just put that screensaver there cos it looks fancy?

        Do we think this is a good episode? I think it is a bit overdone and overdramatic. It seems to progress very slowly and I think it should go faster.
