High Seas
Synopsis:
An NCIS agent who used to work under Gibbs asks for the team's help investigating a case where sailors on an aircraft carrier are dying of a drug overdose, but have no history of any kind of drug abuse.

New Character Development / Insights:
  • We learn that Gibbs recognizes the immense effect a leader has on his underlings, knows that for a leader to betray trust is a huge impact on an underling. He also recognizes the bigger effect that he has on his own underlings. He expects more from Stanley than of other agents, and is not disappointed. We know here that Gibbs would never betray a Giblet.
Funny Moments:
  • Stan- "At least I don't taint evidence when I bag and tag." Gibbs- "I tripped! One time!" Stan- "As I recall it was because you had your eyes glued to some little-" Gibbs- "Can we get back to the video?"
  • Gerald theatrically suffocating, stealing Ducky's spotlight.
Trivia:
  • Kate got lost on this ship, as did Tony although he presumed to be more familiar with the terminology. Needless to say Gibbs was the only who didn't get lost.
  • Gibbs is wearing a Property of Hoover Police Department t-shirt in his basement. This is a department in Hoover, Alabama.
  • The file footage of the boat being rescued is of Tony Bullimore, he capsized off West Australia, the rescuers were the Royal Australian Navy

        In this episode, DiNozzo claims to have worked for the Philadelphia police department before joining NCIS. In every other episode I've seen, he had worked for Baltimore PD before joining NCIS.
