I am a very angry NCIS fan. I believe that the death of Mike Franks was a terrible and foolish move by the writers of this show. The show has lost a lot of its charm for me. Mike was a strong character who brought humor and (more) substance to the show. I almost stopped watching the show because of this shortsighted decision to kill him. I love NCIS, but not as much as I once did. As I have said, I have no favorite character. All the characters make up the sum of the show. Writers, you screwed this one up BIG TIME and it is irrevocable. I LOVE NCIS and ALL of you, but I cannot handle the hatred I see and have received just by simply stating my opinion. We ALL have right to our opinions, but when I feel threatened by another member just for stating that I like seeing Tony get a little payback from Tim every once in a while, well, I feel like I cannot speak freely. I love ALL the characters. Half the time I cannot pick a favorite. Why can't you "haters" try to be polite and respectful to those of us who are here for our LOVE of ALL things NCIS? I like to keep the peace but I also like intelligent discussion. I even like heated discussion. I don't like it when others are mean about opinions. But I love talking about opinions! So bring it on...if you can do it civilly. :) I do not like it when one character is thrown under the bus just to vindicate another favorite character. That is totally uncool.
